{{ AN: so before you read just a heads up. There is absolutely no gayness between Cody or Lucas. It's strictly a bigger brother little brother like relationship or father son relationship.
Oh! And Lucas is 26 years old.
Next chapter will be funny and you'll get a good detailed description of what he looks like. Thank you for the reads}}Cody's Perspective:
Thankfully Deven signed all the paper work while I was down in the "dungeon."
Not only did I just spend all my money but now I have to go to court for Lucas because he broke a humans arm. Which is illegal.
'Great... mothers going to flip. I doubt she'll even help me with it and I don't think she'll miss a couple grand out of her account, just to help get Lucas settled in.
I sighed watching my guards help him into the SUV's trunk.
When Lucas stepped into the outside light, my stomach churned. He was starved and deathly pale. You could see each bone in his rib cage and his right wing looked much smaller than his left. Shredded almost.
What frightened me was that, his eyes looked darker than I'd expect them to be. 'He must've seen a lot of bad things.'
"Please be careful with him." I said and Deven looked at me a little irked but he did as I asked none the less.
~At Cody's house.~
This evening I had all the maids and butlers, just every human being leave the house. With persistence I even got Deven to leave as well.
Cautiously I led Lucas into the giant double doors. He was hunched over in a defensive position as if he was stalking prey of some sorts.
"It's alright. Just me and you here today. We can do anything you want, you know, as long as it doesn't cause pain to your wing." I mumbled the last bit noticing that Lucas wasn't even paying attention to me.
A little angry I took a step forwards to get his attention but I forgot that he's extremely defensive.
Lucas snarled making me flinch and jump backwards. "I'm sorry" I squeaked. He softened his expression but still stood his ground. 'What should I do? I don't even know how to take care of a dog so how in earth am I going to care for a half-breed?' I ranted in my head.
"Are you not going to punish me?" It was a soft spoken-scratchy voice making me look up. It was like he was afraid to speak. "Why would I do that?" I asked watching his eyes widen.
Lucas looked down and his wings drooped to the floor. I strained my ears for what he said next, "because I injured a human... and I growled at you..."
It took me a second to contemplate what he meant by it, "you're crazy!" I said flatly. Again he looked up in shock. "I'm only 11. Do you know how much trouble I'd get in if Casey caught me beating up someone?" I said with a small chuckle. "And besides I'm weak and rather have fun instead." I smiled at the half-breed.
His posture seemed to relax at my words, "come on, I'll show you around." I waved for him to follow. Lucas took his left wing and used the claw to bring his right one up so it wouldn't drag on the ground. Silently, he then obediently followed.
~Later that night ~After two hours of walking around and explaining a few ground rules, I finally took him to my room.
It was spacious, with a queen size bed and a beautiful dresser. There was another extension to it which was the living room adored with a couch, dining table and a plasma screen tv surrounded by game consoles. My friends say this is every kids dream but I only shrugged in response.
