Slowly I opened my eyes and was met with two very concerned faces. "Lucas, what are you wearing?" I asked confused.
Lucas laughed and brought me up into a hug. His black armor prodded me in my sides but I didn't care. If he was here, then I'm fine with that.
"Lucas you should leave before the other Arc Angels get here." Danté said. 'What does he mean by that?'
"Thank you friend, but what about you, will you be alright?" Lucas said standing up and placing myself on his left hip, arms underneath my wings as if I were a child.
"I will tell them everything that happened here. But before you go, allow me to erase his memory." My head whipped around to the demon.
I then looked at Lucas, but he didn't look back at me. "It'll only be for these events. You know as well as I do, that this is the only way he won't be effected."
"W-wait... Lucas what's he talking about?" I pulled at his armor. Lucas's eyes looked sad and pained. I watched a he clenched his jaw, gritting his teeth. "This is for your own good Cody." My heart sanked. I was being betrayed and from my closest friend.
Lucas perspective
'Jesus why is this so painful?' The child I held in my arms, was seconds away form crying, I knew this. I knew he was going to feel betrayed and hurt but this is the only way for him to forget about this event. Him being a Demi God.
"Lucas...I... trust you." He sniffled.'He still trusts me? After everything he's been through.'
Carefully I sat him down, avoiding to bump his wings.
"Cody, I'm going to tell you something important." Said child nodded.
I grabbed his shoulders looking into his careamel irises. "11 years ago I was alive, a human. And my mother, Elizabeth Anderson. Was pregnant with another son." I watched as his features changed. "Cody, you are my little brother."
We sat like that until tears flowed down his face. "Oh Cody, I'm so sorry." I pulled him into an embrace. He started to cry harder within my hold. "If only I'd known sooner." I rubbed between his wings, soothing him as best as I could.
Danté walked up behind me, ready to start. "W-why..." my little brothers muffled sobs bounced off my armor.
"So that you can continue to live a normal life. You're only a child, you shouldn't have to bare an entire war on your shoulders. It is not your burden. That's why." I whispered into his ear, tears falling down my face as well.
Danté brought his hand up and started to chant the spell which would erase the boys memories. "That's what bigger brothers are for. To take the responsibility of making sure you're safe and that nothing will ever come to harm you. I love you."
"I love you too Lucas." A blinding light erupted from behind me, consuming everything in it's wake.
