Devens perspective
The black mass of Jin flowed past me and shot down the stairs of the stadium leading into many twisting hallways.
'Cody be alright.' I thought and suddenly Jin burst into a nearby door. Screams and howls erupted making me run faster in fear for my master.
When I reached the door way, my mind couldn't process everything that was happening.
Jin stood above Holland licking his lips as if he's eaten a meal. 'Wait. Did he just consume his soul?' I thought, absent mindedly stepping back but out of the corner of my eye I saw Cody's body laying motionless behind Jin.
"Young master!" I exclaimed and rushed to his side. Carefully I picked him up and listened to his heart, bringing his small chest to my ear. It was erratic, uneven but he was still alive.
"I could've swore that we killed you along with that pathetic master of yours 11 years ago." I knew this voice, it couldn't be.
Slowly I looked up, unable to breath. "Nicholas...." The white demon before me was not the person I new of from 11 years ago, but entirely a new being. Now he had white hair, demon wings, a tail and two thick ram horns sat atop his head curling to the sides of his face.
"What the hell are you doing here!" I yelled standing up and pulling the gun out of my belt, pointing it at the body before me.
Nicholas laughed. "We'll I learned that my dear friend has returned to me but it seems that he's forgotten all about me and his poor little brother."
I stood infront of Cody, 'I won't let him kill another one of my friends.' "And what do you mean by that?" I asked, noting Jin's mist encircling the room.
"What I mean, or shall I say want. Is that boy behind you." He said, "you see, that formula that was created 11 years ago was destroyed along with the releasement of my divine beings-I happened to make a new one."
I blinked in confusion. "But, Elizabeth and I destroyed it after the funeral, everything!" I yelled desperately, my hand shaking.
"Yes well, I made a new one where it doesn't just bring the dead back to life, but turns humans into Gods!" Nicholas laugh hysterically. "And the best part is, that I have a genie pig for it. Oh! How I wish Lucas could remember everything because I want to see what his face looks like when I kill his little brother and make him into my little pet!"
I couldn't take it and pulled the trigger as Jin launched himself at Nicholas. The room going pitch black. 'Son of a bitch! That fucking bastard dare shows his face back here in Anderson territory. I'll fucking kill him!'
The lights turned back on revealing an unconscious, "Jin." I ran up to our demon keeper and shook him roughly. He stirred, "The white demon got away. Sorry" I watched as he pointed behind me.
"The boy has been poisoned, and is slipping from this world." My heart throbbed. "He won't make it." Jin said sadly closing his eyes.
Quickly I got up and kneeled next to the child. "Young master.... wake up" I shook him. A lump forming in my throat. Cody's body was stiff and cold. His breathing was shallow and small, "Cody wake up." Hot tears started to fall down my face as I choked on my words.
"Hey!" I yelled suddenly when he stopped breathing all together. "No, no, no, no! You can die! C-Cody!" I cried clutching the boy.
For 11 years I've watched over him-practicaly being a father and he a son to me. But now, I've failed him, he's dead and my heart is shattering. A child so innocent and pure who only wanted to protect and preserve what's right. Now he's dead! And it's all my fault, if only I was stronger he'd still be alive!
