"Are you sure Nathalie won't come in here?" I glance around the room. It's like a fortress. The walls are high and starkly white. Adrien's own personal kingdom of solitude.

"Claws In." Chat Noir transforms back into the familiar blonde boy. He smooths down his hair, which was ruffled in the process and sits on his bed. "Don't worry, she won't be coming anytime soon."

I stare at Adrien's neatly stacked trophies and awards. Modelling. Fencing. More modelling. Even a beauty contest.

"Where's your father?"

"He and Nathalie went out on an important business trip."

I raise my eyebrows. "Suspicious. Do you even wonder if the two of them..."

"Oh, always," Adrien says, wincing. "I try not to think about it."

Plagg interrupts our conversation, flying out from Adrien's shirt. "Where's my Camembert? You forgot to replenish our stash, didn't you?"

"I must have forgotten," Adrien says, looking between Plagg and I. Plagg scoffs disgustedly.

"I get it. I'm not your one and only anymore!" He looks indigent as he flies across the room.

"Plagg, come back here," Adrien says. "Of course I still care about you."

I hold back laughter as Plagg raises his nose to the air, sniffing around in alternate directions.

"You only care about your precious Y/N." Plagg flies around my head in a circle." And she always remembers to buy my Camembert!"

Adrien rolls his eyes. "C'mon, Plagg."

"I knew this would happen," I say, suddenly. I pull out my bag. "So I packed some extra Camembert in my bag."

"See?" Plagg harrumphs in Adrien's face. "At least your girlfriend cares about me."

Adrien grins. "I like the sound of girlfriend."

Plagg gives in a look of extreme offence, flitting into my bag and emerging with a pack of Camembert.

"Goodbye, former friend, I'm going on a date with Tikki!"

He disappears out the window.

"Wait, Plagg and Tikki are dating?" I say, gasping.

"Apparently so," Adrien says. "I think that's pretty recent, though."

I sit down on Adrien's bed beside him. A palpable silence falls between the two of us. "Want to watch something, or....?"

Adrien sighs thoughtfully. "Well, we could. Or, seeing as we're not being attacked by Akumatized monsters at this moment we could take advantage of the peace and quiet."

He leans over, gently pressing his lips to mine. His hands gravitate towards my waist, pulling me firmly towards him. My phone starts ringing.

"Who the hell is calling me at this goddamn moment?" I ask, clicking the ANSWER button. It's Marinette and she immediately shrieks at me through the phone. I have to hold it arms-length away from my ear.

"Y/N!" she shouts.

"Marinette? What's wrong?"

"Where the fuck are you?" she says, sounding panicked. "Your room is empty and Mom and Dad are losing their shit right now!"

"What? I'm with--" I look frantically at Adrien, "--I'm with--"

"Don't tell me you're with that Chat!"

Adrien lets out a burst of laughter from beside me and a silence falls on Marinette's end of the phone.

"Wait, was that Adrien?" Marinette says, sounding breathless. "I know that laugh anywhere." she lowers her voice. "Y/N, don't tell me you're with Adrien.

"No, stupid," I say, giving Adrien a warning glare to 'shut up'. "I'm with Chat Noir."

Well, same thing, really.

"Okay, well you better come home because Mom and Dad have already called the police."

"What?" I say. "I'm coming."

Adrien smirks at me. "Need a ride?"
