I 96 I

Third person's POV (do y'all prefer third person or y/n's perspective?)

"Y/n, what the hell are you doing here?" Cat Noir's voice demanded from the building as he swooped down, grabbing her around the waist and lifting her out of the way. His silver pole extended, vaulting them onto the building. "Why'd you come here?" 

While his expression was half jokingly-exasperated, there's creases of work across his forehead, like maybe he's less certain about this supervillain than he should be. 

"I thought I'd like to get involved," Y/n rolled her eyes as Cat Noir's hands lingered around her hips. "Wrong place wrong time, what did you think?"

"So..you decided to come to the most dangerous part of Paris?" Cat Noir sighed, dodging a bright blue streak of light that came from Reversa's staff. "Seems reasonable." 

"Now is definitely not the time, Kitty Cat," Ladybug hissed through gritted teeth as she swing her yo-yo around to try and grab the weapon. "We're a bit preoccupied at the moment." 

"I guess I'll come back at a better time then," Y/n muttered sarcastically as Cat Noir and Ladybug resumed the fight. 

Reversa flitted left and right, attempting to break their ranks. Unfortunately, it seemed like she was purposely trying to get to Y/n. 

"Y/n, go down the elevator!" Cat Noir commanded, as Ladybug threw her yo-yo at the button.

Y/n gulped, narrowly missing a shot from the evil villain, who continued to make a bee-line towards her. "Right, I'm leaving now."

"You won't escape me, Y/n Dupain-Cheng! I'll get you for what you did to me!"

"Huh?" Y/n turned back, attempting to recognize the person underneath the mask. Reversa aimed her weapon. 

"NO!" Cat Noir leaped in front and the blue light hit him straight in the chest. Horror dawned on Ladybug's face. She wrapped the yo-yo string around Cat Noir's mid-section, pulling him into the elevator just as the doors closed. 

From inside, they could still hear Reversa's high pitched laugh. 

"Cat Noir, are you okay?" Y/n asked, slightly panicked. He was unresponsive for about fifteen seconds; Y/n soon realized the silence was better than what was to come. 

"Fuck you," He glared  with such hatred that she didn't even recognize him for a second. "This is so dumb." Cat Noir turned to Ladybug. "I don't understand why we even try. I hate you and your stupid complicated plans."

"He was hit," Ladybug said, her eyes wide. 

"What exactly does the blue light do?" 

"I don't know exactly, but if I had to guess, I would say it makes people feel the opposite of how they normally do...maybe?" Ladybug looked at the Cat who was glaring daggers at her. 

"And you're the worst person ever," Cat Noir huffed. "I never want to speak to either of you again." 

Y/n grabbed him by the shoulders, pushing him aggressively against the wall. "Snap out of it, you idiot. Snap the fuck out of it." The contact with the wall momentarily stunned Cat Noir, but not enough to make him any less angry. 

"Get off me, Dupain Cheng."

"Like that's going to work," Ladybug scoffed at Y/n's feeble efforts to make Cat Noir see reason, scanning the building as the elevator doors opened. "This reminds me of when we fought Oblivio. The building kinda looks the same."

"Except he was in a much better mood," y/n muttered, hooking a thumb at her boyfriend.

"I'm just going to take this goddamn miraculous off! It's useless anyway!"

"NO!"

Ladybug kicked him into one of the desk chairs, forcing him to sit down. She tied her yo-yo string around him. "Lucky charm!" A pair of handcuffs landed in her hands. "Yeesh." 

"I wonder what you have to do with that," Y/n said thoughtfully.

"I know exactly what I'm doing with them," Ladybug said firmly, attaching Cat Noir's wrists together. "Now he can't take his miraculous off."

"I could find a way," Cat Noir said defiantly. "Both of you are dumb and terrible at kissing." 

"I'm offended," Y/n said sarcastically. Then it dawned on her. "Ladybug...is there something you want to tell me?"
