"What do we do now?!" Romero asked.
"I- I- I- I-" Axel was lost for words and hope.
"We should go around and to Berkeley or Oakland." Chandler suggested.
Axel nodded.
They continued on their way and walked for two days straight.
They were also going very fast and they soon made it to UC Berkeley.
"I need a break." Chandler wheezed.
Dean smirked, "pansy cake." Yet, inside, he too needed a long break.
"We rest here." Axel said and set up tents and built a nice fire.
They all gathered around the campfire.
Marisa exclaimed, "oooh!! This reminds me of my favourite episode of spongebob!!"
Dean jumped at the sudden noise and Axel laughed.
Axel walked inside the university and came out with a guitar.
He began to sing, his voice was something .. special, "let's gather 'round the campfire and sing our campfire song. Our C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E-S-O-N-G song and if you don't think that we can sing it faster than you're wrong," he then pointed at Marisa when he said "but it would help if you just sang along." He winked.
Marisa added, "Bum bum buuumm!"
Everyone, even Father Rudy, sang along except for Romero.
They laughed when they were done.
Father Rudy stood up.
"Hold on, Father, this sinner isn't going to sing Gospel." Dean said.
Father Rudy laughed, "no, I was just going to say that this is the reason why we should keep going. Nowadays we have to live for the little things.
"And laughing used to be a little thing. Now, a smile means a lot. A whole lot. We used to be so confident that we'd live for a long time that we'd plan for the future. Sometimes decades in the future. Every moment counts.
"Living was the smallest thing ever, now it's still small."
Dean interrupted, "so you're saying we're living to live?"
Father Rudy nodded, "yes, my son, but it's much, much more than that."
Dean counted in his head. He gave the Father five seconds to start talking about God.
"God wants us to be happy, yes, but we also must love each other and be happy in the worst of times and the best of times. Amen." Father Rudy nodded.
Chandler nodded and Whooped, "amen."
They returned to their tents and Romero stood watch.
He thought of all the things he and his brother had gone through.
Chandler and Marisa shared a tent.
"I'm seventeen, I love you and it's the apocalypse." Chandler began.
"I'm not having sex with you, Chandler."
He kissed her but she pushed him away, "I know this trick. I'm not like that."
"Like what?"
She shrugged, "easy."
"Is it easy when you could die tomorrow. Is it easy when your choices aren't vast? Is it easy when it's truly love?"
Marisa turned away.
"I didn't see you for weeks and I couldn't take it. Please, Marisa. I need you right here. Right now." Chandler begged.
"I'm irresistible, babe." Axel told his wife.
"I know, I know, why do you think I'm doing this?!" Natasha put her hand on her husband's chest.
"Attention."
She slapped him, and instead of being angry he kissed her.
-morning-
"Ugh, Azi, I'm soooo sore."
Axel only smirked.
Marisa came out of the tent followed by Chandler.
Father Rudy gave them a disgusted look.
"Worth the sin?" Father said.
Chandler nodded, "hell yea."
Marisa smiled, "kinda was."
