Marisa held her rake up.
"Maddy? KayLee?"
Chandler pulled out a knife.
"Hold your fire, Chandler."
"What?!"
"They talked. MADDY!! KAYLEE!"
Next thing they knew, two girl walked to them. They were about the same height. One had blonde hair, blue eyes and wore a grey jacket with weird black tights that were shiny and black combat boots.
The other girl had long brown hair in a braid, and dark brown eyes, she had slightly darker skin than the other three in the area. She wore a black and white striped long sleeve shirt and black tights covered by a jean skirt that stretched to her knees with black vans.
"So," The blonde one said, she had an annoying voice, "who's thiiiiiiis?"
"Maddy, uhm, this is Chandler. Chandler this is Maddy," Marisa pointed to the other girl, "and that's KayLee."
"Follow me, we have a small camp. We need people."
"What about the others?" KayLee asked, her voice was softer, less aggravating.
"You have others?"
"Yes, mostly girls."
"We can use people."
"Follow us." They walked further along.
"What weapons do you have?"
"None, unfortunately."
"It's true," Marisa said, "We just run away."
They walked nearly a mile more before Chandler saw a small group of people. Three girls and two boys.
"Maddy!" a girl said with wavy red hair. Yes, her voice was even more annoying than the person she was calling.
"Kyle!" Maddy ran to Kyle.
"I'll introduce you around." Marisa grabbed Chandlers hand and showed him around the small camp.
"That's Nicholas," Marisa pointed to a tall boy with shaggy brown hair. "That's Alexis" she pointed to a short and skinny girl. "That's Tristan." There was a short boy running around. "And that's Emily" she pointed to a girl chasing Tristan, yelling "wwaaaahhh!" she had light brown hair and brown eyes. She was tall and skinny.
"It's a.. group."
"We're not as impressive as you guys."
"Speaking of, who's the leader?"
Nicholas ran to Chandler, "that would be me."
"We have a camp back along the road aways. We can always use people. Would you care to join us?"
"Uhm, yea, how many people do you have?"
"Uhm. About thirteen."
"We have eight. I like those numbers. You lead... uhm"
"Chandler."
"Lead the way, Chauncey."
They walked back to Chandler's camp before it got too dark.
Roberto and Axel ran to them, "Who's this?"
Chandler introduced the two groups and they made a small fire, simply for light in the summer.
Chandler sat in between Marisa and his little sister. He held Marisa's hand.
They were all happy.
Axel knew that wouldn't last very long.
