Harry's POV
I've been laying, staring at the ceiling, for hours now. I tried calling Kari about a million times and she hasn't answered once. Well, if I was her, I wouldn't want to talk to me either. God, why do I screw everything up? It took a long time just to get Kari to trust me. Now that trust is all gone, probably never to be built up again. Just great.
What I needed was a brilliant plan. Something to at least show her I truly am sorry for not telling her. But what? I could write a song, but it would be shit. And Kari would never take the time to listen to it anyway. So, a song was definitely out of the question. Any other ideas Harry? Hm, of course not. You really are an idiot.
"Harry," someone knocked on the door.
"What?"
"Can I come in?" Claire asked.
"Why? Are you going to attempt to kill me?" I ask in all seriousness.
"No. I'm not going to kill you," she assures me.
"Okay, come in. The doors unlocked," I say. I hear the door creak open and Claire come to stand in front of me. I roll over and look at her with dull, lifeless eyes. I probably look like I'm about to die. Who knows? I think I might.
"You know, if fans ever find out you keep your hotel room door unlocked, you're dead," she smirks.
"What does it matter," I roll over again and mumble into a pillow.
"Harry, I know you're upset, but you can't just lay here. You have to do something," Claire encourages me.
"I know that I do. I just don't know what to do," I say.
"Well, I'm not going to help you with that, but I can motivate you," Claire smiles.
"How?" I eye her.
"Well, you really like Kari, right?" She asks and I nod.
"Then don't let her get away! She's an amazing girl and even though it was a bit bumpy at first, you two are really good for each other. I want two of my very best friends to be happy. That won't happen if you don't do something. You sure as hell know Kari is not exactly outgoing. It's up to you," Claire says seriously.
"What if she rejects me?" I asked, truthfully a little scared. I've been rejected before by Kari and other girls, but with Kari it was different. When she rejected me, I felt like my heart had been ripped out.
"If you do it right, she won't," Claire assures me.
"Thanks Claire," I smile a her.
"You're welcome Harry. Now go get your girl back," she laughs, leaving me alone in the silence again. This time I wouldn't let it phase me. It was just another driving factor to come up with the perfect plan to get Kari back. I needed to think, and fast.
Claire's POV
I started to leave Harry's room with a smile on my face. I truly think my on the spot talk had helped the curly haired boy so I kept smiling. That is, until I actually tried to open the door. Hey, I didn't expect anyone to be on the other side. Naughty boys. You should never eavesdrop on a serious conversation. I managed to push to it open and close Harry's door. I stared down at the four boys lying on the floor with an angry, but amused look.
"Hey Claire," Louis started, "we weren't listening at all. Some old lady, just um, lost an earring."
"Louis, we all know you were listening, so just give it up. There's not even an old lady in sight," I say, shooting down his lie.
"In our defense, Harry's our friend too, and since you wouldn't let us join you, we had to be supportive in some way," Zayn explained. I guess Zayn kind of had a point, but still.
