AN: Hello everyone! I have to make this quick! Basically, I updated! Yay! I hope it's long enough! I hope you like it! <3

Kari’s POV

“No Liam! That doesn’t mean anything!” I exclaimed. I was exasperated by these five boys in front of me. We had been working on the collaboration song for about over two hours and there had been no progress. I was starting to think I was the only person in the room with any creativity. They obviously didn’t know you had to express something in a song. You couldn’t just sing about carrots. Thanks a lot for the help Louis. Not.

            “Sorry! I’m trying!” Liam retorted.

“I know you are, and thank you.” I said calming down. I rubbed my temples and went out on the balcony of the hotel for some peace and quiet. The boys had been throwing horrible lyrics at me constantly and I needed some time alone to actually think of some good ones. Claire had also been trying to help and had come up with good lyrics, but I just wasn’t feeling them. I told her to keep them for a different song. My eyes were closing when I heard the door open. Zayn came and leaned against the railing next to me.

“You know, after these couple hours I have an even bigger respect for you. I never knew songwriting was so hard. And it must be even harder with people throwing bits of lyrics at you.” Zayn said.

“Yeah, it’s not easy.” I agreed. “Especially when the lyrics getting thrown at you are horrible.”

“Hey! You’re saying I’m a bad songwriter?” Zayn faked a hurt look.

“Yes! Well not really. Yours weren’t that bad.” I admitted.

            “Really?”

“Yeah, they were pretty deep.” I laughed.

“Well, everyone says I’m a deep person.” Zayn shrugged.

            “Yeah…”

“So, I take we’re done for the day? It’s pretty late, we haven’t come up with anything yet, and Niall and Claire are complaining that they’re hungry.”

“I am too. See that little restaurant. Let’s go eat over there.” I said pointing across the street. Zayn agreed and all seven of us went over there to eat.

“This food is really good.” Liam stated. Right now we were in the very back of the little restaurant, hiding from paparazzi, eating Italian food that in fact was really good.

            “Agreed.” Niall and Claire said.

“So Kari, come up with a song yet?” Louis asked. Zayn slapped his arm.

“What do you think?” He asked Louis.

“I don’t know how songwriting goes! And Kari’s been awful quiet. What if she’s thinking of lyrics?” Louis retorted.

“No Lou. So far I’ve got nothing.” I told the boy before Zayn could speak again.

“How’s everything going?” A young waitress asked us.

“It’s very good. Thank you.” Harry told her. She smiled and walked away unfazed that One Direction and Claire were eating together with their unknown best friend, aka, me. She obviously knows who we are and can actually control herself or she has no idea who we are. Either way I don’t really care. All I want to do is go back to the hotel and relax. It’s been kind of a crazy day and I seriously need to sleep more than five hours tonight.
