Chapter 21 - Another Day Another Country

Harry's POV

This whole situation with Britt was still wracking my brain and I hated it. I just told Kari I didn't want to lie about dating Britt and she looked relieved. 

"I think it's good that you don't want to lie Harry, but I'm still scared about all this. Britt could still hurt your reputation." Kari said concerned. 

"But lying to the press and then they figure out I'm lying is bad too. If rumors do turn up I'll just say they aren't true because they aren't. Our real fans will believe me, not that bitch." I said. Kari just smiled at me. 

"What? Have I got something on my face?" I asked. 

"Oh, no. I was.just thinking about how much you've changed since I met you." She responded. 

"How so?" 

"Well, that first day in the hotel room you were really cold to me and then you got all flirty. Now you're the real Harry." She smiled again. 

"Hey, you weren't exactly that nice either." I retorted jokingly. 

"That's because I was pissed at Claire for setting us up." She laughed. 

"But look where it got us. I could never be more satisfied with my life than I am now." I said honestly. Kari blushed. I pulled her into a hug and whispered, "And I mean that." 

"I don't think I could be happier either." She whispered back. I slowly leaned forward to kiss her again when she jerked away a little due to the sound of her phone. I stared intently at her lips for a few seconds before she went to look at her phone.  

"Harry, it's 1:30 in the morning. I should go." She said heading for the door. I stopped her. 

"Please just stay here for tonight." I begged. 

"Fine. I'll stay." She gave in. I walked over to my suitcase and pulled out an old t-shirt, tossing it at Kari. She reacted quickly and caught it. 

"Nice catch." 

"Thanks Styles." She smirked before going into the bathroom to get ready. When the door closed I flopped down on the bed, looking up toward the ceiling. I couldn't even describe what Kari was to me. She was beautiful and smart and funny and talented and even more. She went from being an annoying almost roomate to one of the most important people in my life. The things I was feeling for Kari were way more serious than she would ever think. I had just met this girl recently yet I was completely and utterly in love with her. That was the only way to put it. I just wished.she loved me back, but she didn't. Or at least not yet. She wasn't ready, but I would wait forever if it meant being with Kari.

Kari's POV

Why? Why was Harry so perfect? That's pretty much all I can think about. Well that and why was I so dumb? He was going to kiss me and I never let him finish. But, who isn't stupid at like 1:30am? I went into the bathroom to change, thankful that Harry had actually given me a shirt and pants. Once I was finished I exited the bathroom and found Harry lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling. 

"Harry?" No response. 

"Harry?" I said louder. Nothing. 

"Harry!" I shouted. 

"What?" He asked startled. 

"I think you were day dreaming. But I'm tired. Let's go to bed." I tell him climbing under the covers. Harry follows my lead after turning the lights out. He shifted and I felt his strong arms around mine. Usually I would object, but I was too tired to care this time. 

"Kari?" A sleepy voice asked. 

"Yeah?" 

"Do you trust me now?" Harry asked. 

"Yes." I said without hesitation. 

"Good, because I trust you too." He said. Before I could reply I heard soft snores. I also started to drift off to sleep thinking about tomorrow. We were traveling to our last European destination. Italy. Tomorrow would be just another day and another country. And with that I floated off in a sea of dreams.
