AN: Hey guys! I'm updating two days in a row! I'm so happy because I haven't done that in a while! So, yeah. I'm gonna be honest and say this is a pretty fluffy chapter, but it only has Niall and Claire. Yay! I personally think it's cute so I'm gonna call it cute fluff! :) Anyway, it's like 12:45am and I didn't get the chance to proofread so point anything out! I hope you like it! Dedicated to wishuponastar69 for fanning me!
Claire’s POV(Right after leaving the hotel)
I was so excited! I finally got to go home for awhile! It would just be me and my mom for tonight and tomorrow. I wasn’t evening allowing Niall into my house because that would mean he’s not at his own, visiting his family. We were about halfway to our neighborhood and surprisingly we weren’t dead yet. Somehow Niall had convinced our driver James to let him drive to Mullingar. I wasn’t worried about Niall’s actual driving, but I was worried about his temper. We’ve all had those times where we have to drive next to some unruly people and right now was one of those times. Niall had gotten stuck behind a painfully slow driver in a no passing zone and his patience was running out.
“Niall, just calm down.” I told him and turned on the radio. Of course What Makes You Beautiful was playing. I changed the station knowing Niall wouldn’t mind being saved from a song that was majorly overplayed. I flipped through stations I found a station playing Wonderwall by Oasis. Hmm, it must be an older station because Wonderwall is from like 1995. Whatever. I started singing along in my obnoxious voice just to annoy Niall. And it worked. When I looked over at him he looked extremely pissed and was tapping his thumbs against the steering wheel. I laughed and stopped singing. Niall had somehow made it past the slow driver and cruised into the neighborhood where we had grown up together. It was so nice to see it again. I looked around. I couldn’t spot a thing that had changed since last time. Niall pulled into my family’s driveway and ran around the car to open my door. Ah, just like a true gentlemen. I grabbed my overnight bag and hugged Niall goodbye. He ran across the street to his house and I stepped up on the front porch of mine. I waved goodbye to James and turned to ring the doorbell. My mom immediately answered with a huge grin.
“Mom!” I exclaimed, hugging her tightly.
“Claire, honey, it’s been so long! I’ve missed you!” My mom exclaimed.
“I’ve missed you too.” I said.
“Well, come on. Dinner’s ready.” She said ushering me inside. The table was set for the two of us with all my favorite foods. Which were chicken, rice, corn, and more. I dropped my bag and went straight to the table. It all looked so good and I was hungry. I sat down in one of the chairs and mom sat down across from me. We said a prayer and I dug into the steaming food.
“How have you been mom?” I asked, my mouth full of food.
“I’ve been good sweetie. How about you? Niall still treating you right?” She asked.
“Mom, you’ve know Niall since we were little. Of course he’s treating me right.”
“Hey, as your mom I just have to make sure my baby’s okay.” She said.
“I’m fine mom. The tour’s going well. I love spending everyday with the boys and Kari. And we’ve started recording for my album!” I informed her excitedly.
“That’s great Claire!” She chuckled. “I never thought those words would come out of your mouth.” She added.
“Me neither.” I agreed. My mom nodded. Her expression had changed.
