Kari’s POV

I arrived in Paris at 5:30am. I had terrible jet lag and was an overall mess. But that didn’t stop me from hurry through the crowded area to find Claire. I couldn’t wait to start the tour. I know I’m just along to “work” for Claire, but I knew there wouldn’t be a lot of work. I had written some great songs over the past few days and if everything was going as planned the all songs for the album should done in about a week. Then Claire just had to record them. I waited and before long I saw my bag so I grabbed it and walked farther into the crowd of people. I searched for Claire, but I had no luck. I always hated being shorter than average.

“Kari!” I heard a familiar voice shout. I turned and saw Claire and Niall waiting for me by the Starbucks. I ran over to them and gave Claire a big hug. I gave Niall a hug to, but he didn’t seem in the mood.

“Claire! I can’t believe I’m finally here. I’m really tired though,” I said as we walked out of the airport to the waiting car. I loaded my bags into the trunk and got in beside Claire. Niall sat opposite of us. Both of them were engrossed by their phones. Something was defiantly going on between them. The Claire I knew would have never pulled her phone out. She would sit and talked to me and Niall too. I looked at both of them and sighed.

“What’s going on you two?” I asked bluntly.

“What do you mean?” Niall asked.

“You know what I mean pretty boy. Why are you guys ignoring each other?”

“We’re not ignoring each other,” Claire retorted.

“Yes you are and whatever it is you need to work it out. In case you didn’t know it’s not fun being in my position,” I informed them.

            “It’s Niall’s fault,” Claire mumbled.

“What? It’s Claire’s fault,” Niall exclaimed.

“Okay, that’s a start, but what happened?” I asked. They looked at each other and blushed.

“Claire. I’m your best friend. I know what that blush was about.”

“Niall always wants to go too far,” she said abruptly.

            “Do not.”

            “Do too.”

            “Do not.”

            “Do too.”

“Shut up guys!” I interrupted. They focused on me again.

“I don’t really care for your bickering so just stop. This is the stupidest argument you’ve ever had. Niall, you have to understand that Claire doesn’t want to do it. And Claire, you can’t over react. Niall just loves you,” I added. They both looked at me in shock. Usually I’m just that quiet girl, but I can’t bear to see my friends fight.

“You’re right Kari. I’m sorry Niall. I overreacted,” Claire admitted.

“No. I’m sorry Claire. I need to respect you more,” Niall said.
