George woke up at two o'clock in the morning, feeling that Kira was awake. "What's the matter?" "I can't sleep." "Is it the pups?" "No. I just can't sleep." "You're still in the early stages. You'll be fine and I'll be there." "I know." They kissed and cuddled each other until it was time for George to get ready for work.

Jonathan was wide awake, thinking about some things. He left his room and checked on his little brother. When he got to his room, he saw that he was fast asleep. He gently smiled and saw that Daisy was at the bottom of the bed as she was in werewolf form. He still smiled and quietly left the room and went to find Colin.

He found the pup in his parent's room laying on the floor at the bottom of the bed and curled up. He quietly approached him, carefully lifted him into his arms and placed him gently onto his parent's bed. The couple suddenly woke up in alert, but relaxed when they saw it was only their oldest son. "Jonathan?" his mother groggily asked. "Sorry to wake you. Colin was on the floor and I didn't want him sleeping there."

His father smiled and made a fuss of Colin while he was still asleep. "Sorry to disturb you." "It's fine son. Go back to sleep." "I haven't been to sleep yet." His mother didn't look happy. "You need to sleep." "I'm fine mum." "For us?" "I just can't sleep. I'm not tired." His father gave him a drowsy look.

"Do I need to make you sleep?" "No." "Then please try and sleep." "I'm not one bit tired." His father got out of bed, approached his son and stared into his eyes. "Sleep." Jonathan's legs then buckled and his father caught him as he fell forward. "That's not like him Jake." "I know. I'll get him to bed."

Once Jonathan was in bed, his father returned to his mate to find that Colin had moved towards her. "Grace?" "How is he?" "Jonathan's fine. He's in bed." "He said he's not tired when he clearly is." "I know. It's just hard to watch after a few years being away from the boys."

Claire was sat up in bed, thinking about her cousin when her mother walked into her room. "Claire?" she gently asked. "Hi mum." "What are you doing up?" "I can't sleep." "Your brain won't let you sleep?" "I'm just thinking about George again." Her mother walked towards the bed and sat on it. "I'm sure he's fine." "What do you think he'll do when the pups arrive?" "I'm sure he'll visit us. Is that what you're worried about?" She nodded.

"Claire, your dad told me what happened about this Rosie woman." "He did?" "Yes. I'm sorry I wasn't here for you." "It wasn't your fault." "You needed me and I was too far away. I'm sorry she hurt you." "She wasn't a nice person mum. I knew something was wrong the moment she helped George. I was right about her from the start." "I believe you." She gave her mother a small smile and her mother smiled back. "Don't forget that you can talk to us." "I know." "Try and get some sleep." "I'll try." Her mother stood up and left the room, only to walk into Christian's room to find him wide awake.

"Christian?" He turned around to face his mother from his desk. "Mum?" "What are you doing up?" "Just working things out." "You don't need to work things out. You need to sleep." "I'm not tired." "For us?" "I'll sleep when I feel more tired." "Please promise me." "I promise." She then made her way back to her mate and saw that he was sat up in bed. "How are they?" "They're awake. Christian is sat at his desk and I told him to get some rest, but he said he'll sleep when he's more tired." "He'll be fine Janet. He's strong and capable." "I know."

After a few hours, George was on his way to work and when he arrived, he saw Eli. "Good morning Eli." "Hi George. Are you ready to work?" "Yes. You?" "Always."

At Jonathan's house, Colin, Daisy and Chester were playing together in the living room and shouting. Jonathan was trying to concentrate on some work and Mike was in the kitchen with his parents.
