Chapter 11

Once the pups left Mike for the night, he looked to Claire before pulling the cover over her shoulder and giving her a gentle kiss on top of her forehead and closing his eyes.

Meanwhile with George and Kira, George was in a deep sleep when he suddenly began to sit up. It disturbed Kira and she opened his eyes. "George?" He got out of bed and began to walk out of the room. She followed him and she carefully grabbed his shoulders from behind him.

"I'm here. I won't let you fall." When they were on the ground floor, Kira walked to be in front of him and saw that his eyes were closed. He walked to the living room and sat on the sofa. "I'm here." She saw him open his eyes.

"Where am I?" "You're in the living room." "Why?" "Are you awake?" He closed his eyes again before getting comfortable on the sofa. Kira left and shortly returned with a blanket and a pillow.

"Let's get you comfortable." She saw that Steven and Tristan were approaching her and they helped by lifting their alpha's head up as she placed the pillow under his head. The warriors carefully rested their alpha's head on the pillow and sensed that he wasn't disturbed. Kira then placed the blanket over her mate and gave him a kiss on his cheek and gently stroked his hair back a few times before returning upstairs, leaving the warriors to protect her mate for the night.

George woke up the next morning to find himself on the sofa. "What the?" He saw the warriors by his side as Steven said, "don't worry alpha. You were safe." "Why am I on the sofa? I was in bed last night." "You went sleepwalking. We helped you and the Luna." "Thanks guys."

"Is he awake?" Kira asked as she walked down the stairs with the pups in her arms. "Yes Luna," Tristan replied. She walked into the living room where she saw that her mate was wide awake, but confused to why he woke up on the sofa. "I take it that you've already been told what happened?" "Yeah. I'm sorry." "Don't be. Would you like to hold them?" He looked to his pups, smiled and nodded.

"How have they been last night?" "They got me up twice in the night, but I'm fine." "Good." He looked at his pups and said, "I still can't get over it. How are you doing after the loss?" "I'm still sad about it, obviously, but I'm fine." He smiled at her and kissed her. "I better have something to eat and get Steve." She nodded before taking the pups into her arms again.

Once ready, George met Kira at the front door. "Have a good day at work." "I will. I love you." "I love you too." They kissed and he kissed the foreheads of his pups before going to the car and driving to his parents' house.

"Hi bro. You look tired," Steve greeted. "Thanks bro. I was sleepwalking last night. Apparently I walked downstairs and I remained on the sofa for the night." "How does Kira deal with it?" "She does what the others do. Guide me until I'm sat down so they can make me comfortable or they help me back to bed." The two brothers were then on their way to work.

Claire woke up to find herself alone in bed. She sat up and the bedroom door suddenly opened.

"Hi Claire." It was Mike, who had a tray in his hands. "I made you some toast with some orange juice. I also made a drink of tea for you." "Thanks Mike, but you didn't have to do that." "I wanted to. You weren't well yesterday, so I thought I'd make you breakfast in bed." "Thank you." Her wolf Alison, was wagging her tail. 'I need him Claire.' She knew that, but she told her to remain patient.

Mike's wolf was hungry, but not for food. He gave the tray to his mate when Jonathan walked into the room. "Good morning guys." "Hi Jonathan," Claire greeted with a sad smile. "How did you sleep?" "I didn't. I couldn't sleep. I've been tossing and turning all night." "I'm sorry." "Don't be." "Why don't you and I talk?" He nodded as Mike left his brother and his mate to talk alone.
