Mike and Claire talked for hours and also interacted with the pups.

"Claire, can I ask you something?" "Of course." "Did you think Jonathan began to like you when you were younger?" "I think so. I told him we need to wait for our mates." "I think it's because he still hasn't found his mate. He's nearly twenty-seven. He needs to find her. There's no alpha without his mate." "What if he never finds her?" "Then our father will have to give up his title and Jonathan will have to run the pack alone."

Claire then looked sad. "Do you and your parents think that if he doesn't have a mate, that it means that she's not alive?" "Possibly. It's either that, or she's far away." "I hope for his sake that she's far away. She has to be alive." "I hope so too."

"Daddy?" Daisy asked. "Yes Daisy?" "Can we play please outside?" "Of course you can. Come on." Mike and Claire let the pups outside and they included Chester so he didn't feel left out. Mike then said, "I think I'm going to turn Chester. It's not fair for him to remain like this." "What would your friend say?" "I think Marie would be proud. She knew that I would do the right thing."

After hours, Mike was sat on the sofa with Chester. "Would you like to be like us Chester?" "What do you mean?" "With us being werewolves, it makes us stronger and we can protect ourselves better than humans." "Would I be strong?" "You will. It's up to you. I just thought I'd ask you first because if you did, I'd need your permission." He nodded. "Are you sure?" He nodded again.

"Just lie down on the sofa for me." Chester did as he was told. "Now, the next part will hurt. I'm not going to lie. Are you sure? This is your last chance. I won't force you to be turned." "I'm sure." "You're very brave." Chester smiled and he watched Mikes werewolf fangs extend. "Take a deep breath." He did and Mike then proceeded to put his fangs in Chester's neck.

"Ow! Stop! Please!" Mike didn't stop as Jonathan walked in on them. "Mike?" He told his older brother through the link that he was turning him so he could be like them, become stronger and that he could protect himself as he grew up. Jonathan tried his best to comfort Chester and he took his hand.

"You're safe Chester. We're here." Mike then retracted his fangs and pulled his head away from his neck. He saw the blood, so he grabbed a tissue and applied pressure on the puncture wounds. "Thanks Jonathan." "No problem."

The two brothers waited for a few minutes and they suddenly saw Chester move. "Chester?" Jonathan asked with concern. "Uncle Jonathan?" "Hey. How are you feeling?" "Warm." "That's the process I'm afraid. You will have a fever for a while. And don't be surprised if you have a bad dream either. It's normal once you're turned. Once the fever starts, you'll be getting ready to shift. It's just while your wolf forms."

After a few hours, Chester's fever was out of control. "Chester, we can't control your fever. I think it's almost time. Can you see anything?" "I can see a grey wolf." "I want you to focus on him. Picture him in your mind." "I want it to stop." "It will. I promise. This is the final part. When we can't control your fever, and you see your wolf, it's almost over. Just imagine him. You're him, Chester. Be brave. We believe in you."

Chester then shifted into his new werewolf form. He transformed into a grey werewolf pup. Mike beamed proudly at his adoptive son. "Chester, I'm so proud of you." He opened his eyes and looked at his adoptive father. He rubbed his head against Mikes leg. Mike stroked the top of his head and smiled. "What about showing the family the new you?" He nodded and got of the sofa and showed Mike and Jonathan's parents.

They were proud of their son as they saw Chester as a werewolf for the first time. "Wow Chester," Mike and Jonathan's father commented. "You look fantastic." Chester wagged his tail as he felt Mike scratching behind his left ear.
