Claire was on the sofa reading a book when Christian walked into the room. "Hey." "Hi Christian." "Would you like to go outside for a while?" "No thanks. I'd like to finish this book first." "That's fine. Would you mind if I stayed with you?" "No." He sat next to her and asked, "how long have you been reading?" "A couple of hours." "How much longer do you think it will take to finish the book?" "Another hour." "Alright then. I'll wait."

After an hour, Claire had finished the book and Christian had rested his head back against the sofa. "Hey." "Yeah?" "I've finished the book. I'm ready for that walk." "Let's go." They walked out of the house and took a walk to the lake. When they arrived, they sat on the grass near the water and talked for a while.

"So, while mum works at the hospital, we can spend some quality time together as a family." "That would be nice, but it's still not the same without her." "I know. Maybe we could give dad a break." "I guess so." "What about the rest of the family, and our friends?" "We can still visit them while mum works. I just think that we should see our friends while they're not working." "Yeah. You've got a point."

When Kira's mother arrived at the house, she knocked on the door which was shortly answered by Kira. "Hi mum. Thanks for coming." "Of course. I'm happy to come whenever you need me." "Where's Aaron?" "He's with his father, spending some time with him." "That's good." "It will be nice for them to get to know each other." "Yeah."

Another hour passed and Aaron had arrived at his sister's house. He was breathing rapidly and rapidly knocked on the door. When Kira answered the door, she saw the mess he was in. "Aaron, what happened?" He barged inside and ran to his mother. Kira closed the door and walked into the living room to find her half-brother hugging their mother like his life depended on it.

"What happened Aaron?" "We were attacked." "Where's your dad?" "He's outside." "Let's find him. Are you hurt?" "My arm hurts, but I'm fine." "Let's find your dad. Kira, would you like to come?" "Sorry mum, but I have to look after the pups." "I understand. Let's go Aaron."

They returned to the house four hours later. Kira was holding the pups in her arms while she sat on the sofa. "How is he?" Aaron quickly approached her and hugged her. "He's in the hospital. He's being looked after. He was bleeding heavily. He's in a stable condition." "That's good. How's your arm?" "It still hurts, but at least it's not broken. The doctor told me to take painkillers." "It's great that it's not broken. As long as you and your dad are safe, that's all we care about."

Their mother then sat between them and gave them a hug. "Just remember that he loves you, Aaron. Nothing will ever change that. He met you, and he's happy that he met you." "Do you think that you'll find another mate mum?" "I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me if I did. That's up to the moon goddess to decide." Kira then said, "well, whatever happens mum, it happens for a reason. If you do get another mate, I hope you'll be happy with him." "Thank you, Kira. That means a lot."

Aarons eyes then began to slowly close and the two women noticed it. "Why don't you go to our room and get some rest?" Kira gently asked. "I'm fine." "You're looking tired and pale. Please get some rest. George won't mind." He nodded and made his way up the stairs.

Kira and her mother remained on the sofa and talked while they listened for Aaron to make sure he got to the bedroom before talking amongst themselves for a while.

Meanwhile, Mike was training with Jonathan in the garden. "I'm impressed Mike. What about this?" Jonathan was about to use the uppercut on his little brother when his attack was blocked. "Well done." "Thanks. Even though I'm capable of blocking attacks." "I know. It's better to be safe than sorry. It's for the best to stay alert...just in case." "I know."
