Lyra's POV
"Where's Avatar Roku, Or La?" I said as I twisted around as the door locked.
"Are we trapped in here?" I asked myself as I bended the water I could. Which turned out to be sweat and sent the water in a thin blade at the wall and what I calculated to be a much easier exit then the heavy metal door which had now locked tightly in place.
Aang carried the same thoughts with me in the moment as he attempted to blast the statue with air.
The dark fog over my eyes lifted and I saw La, and Roku.
"What took you so long?" Roku asked rhetorically.
"It's lovely to meet you Avatar Aang" La bowed which Aang returned, "now if you'll excuse us, I must discuss something with you, Lyra." He said as I nodded and he led me away.
Roku and Aang faded into the fog. He led me to an oasis in the middle of a huge glacier where a table, three chairs, and the gentle moon spirit sat.
"Hello, dear." Tui greeted in a motherly manner.
My shoulders which had been strung tightly in suspense dropped at the sound of her voice.
I smiled genuinely but it fell as a sadness filled her stare.
La too looked grave.
He sat across from Tui as they exchanged nervous looks.
Tui invited me to sit in the third woven seat in between them.
"What's going on?" I asked nervously.
"Well..." Tui began "We have a warning for you." La finished her sentence.
"What?" I asked "it's bad isn't it?" I questioned nervously.
"It's about the vision we sent you, Lyra." La frowned as Tui brought her hands over his in a soothing gesture.
"Admiral Zhao of the Fire Nation has found a way to destroy water bending." Tui stated.
"But that's impossible! The only way he could do that was to kill... One of you. How did he find out about your earthly forms?" I worried.
"Wan Shi Tong's library.." La answered simply looking downwards at the table.
"But that means the vision, and the red moon- he's gonna kill Tui?!" I realized in shock as I pulled away from the table.
Tui and La nodded in since,
"I'm afraid so." Tui quivered.
It was clear by the fear in her eyes how terrified she was, and how obvious it was that she'd probably end up dead.
"We called you here on a mission, Lyra-" La began as Tui slapped him across the face.
"Tui-" La said stunned "No! La I can't let her give up her life." Tui protested.
"My life?" I said in shock.
"It's the only way!" La protested.
"Tell me!" I ordered sharply cutting the argument short.
Tui looked down in tears and pushed herself away from the table and disappeared into the water.
"Tui! Please!" La called to his wife but she was gone.
"Fine" La huffed "Zhao intends to kill Tui, what he doesn't realize is the amount of casualties it will result in. What he doesn't realize is, without La to keep me balanced the ocean will become uncontrollable and apocalyptic storms and waves will roll over the earth, until the scale is rebalanced that is. That is your job, Lyra. Keep the world balanced. My power will take over me and it'll destroy everything. You mustn't let it happen." La declared ominously.
"Now onto another topic. Roku is speaking with Aang. Firelord Ozai intends to attack during Sozin's comett. You must help the Avatar defeat him before the comett." La said as the oasis disappeared and the door to the room appeared.
"Great danger awaits you, Lyra. I can help you just as Roku will help Aang." La said and I nodded.
His voice left me with a final sentence as my concious faded.
"Call on me when you need to see, our spirits are bound now for all your lifetimes, my daughter." La finished.
--------------
I had so many questions but so little answers.
But as my concious slowly arose the feeling of exhaustion became very apparent.
Sokka had managed to catch me as Katara caught Aang.
"Aang! Lyra!" The two shouted as I felt Sokka catch me, and assumed Aang was caught by Katara.
"Hey guys." Aang greeted in exhaustion as I breathed a thanks.
"What happened?" I questioned.
"No time. We need to go!" Sokka urged and picked me up.
I gave a sharp whistle that rang through the air.
Just as the temple fell Appa arrived and we flew away to safety with Asura quick to tackle me and attempt to cuddle and play despite her size.
"So what happened?" I asked again.
Katara turned to me in amazement,
"You mean you didn't know?! It was incredible, the ocean beat against the island so hard that it sent ships into the sea without their captains. The waves knocked against the temple with so much force that the base started to crack!" Katara finalized.
"Alright... I totally understood that..." I said while struggling to breathe as Asura plopped down on my lap.
