Even though Mikasa was also going to the survey corps, she was really surprised with your decision. She didn't know whether to be happy or scared for your life.
She knew that joining the survey corps was like going on suicide mission, but she did join because of Eren, but the thought of you joining it for her and getting killed by a titan horrified her.
She wanted to stop you from doing so, but she knew that part of you wanted to join for yourself, too.
She respected your decision- but she wanted you to be safe and to join another regiment instead.
But she was also glad that you would still be with her all the way, even if it means fighting against the titans with her.
Once the both of you had joined the survey corps, she had vowed to protect you from any danger that could happen to you and that she would stay alive and be strong for you.
