Mikasa had somehow drank one of Hanji's potions, turning her into a child. She was supposed to drink something different so Hanji can experiment their new potion and seeing its effects, but they accidentally gave her the wrong one.
After they told you that she turned into a child, you panicked and at the same time, you got reminded of that one time you got turned into a child as well.
But after seeing Mikasa, you almost died from cuteness and all of your worries went away.
When she saw you, she panicked, not familiar with your face since she was her child self and didn't know you yet. You reassured her and picked her up, slowly calming her down.
Although the rest of the day, she felt more comfortable around Eren and Armin since she knew them even as a child. It did make you jealous, but of course, you had to respect that.
The rest of the day, she kept clinging to Eren until she reverted back to her normal self. She was confused and asked Eren what happened and after he told her the story, she rushed to you.
After seeing her, you gave her a tight hug. "I missed you." You said as she hugged back. "Well, I'm back to my normal self." She soothed.
"This is why I won't trust Hanji again."
