Today is the day of the party. Yesterday, I spent most of my time lounging and trying to accept the fact that I was 'the darkness' as well as a Chosen One. To me it seems pretty unfair that my life has basically been decided for me, even if it's for something good. And on top of that, I now have to make sure that I don't let negative emotions affect me too much so there won't be a repeat of what happened last time. I wondered how the people back on Corellia reacted when they found out their leader was dead.
Some leader he was, I thought bitterly.
If no one has done it yet then we'll definitely have to check in on them, because I feel bad for how we just left without even helping to clean everything up. But maybe that would hopefully be the only time the darkness got the best of me. I'm confident that I'll be able to control it better from now on.
I walked out of my room and into the living room where Padmé was currently at her kitchen table drinking coffee.
"Hey!" I greeted cheerfully and waved.
She looked up at me while taking a sip of her coffee and her eyes brightened. She quickly swallowed her sip and stood up, "I have something for you, come with me."
She walked passed me and I followed behind, now intrigued. We walked into what I assumed was her room and she started to pull something out from her closet.
"I know you don't have any dresses or formal clothing, so," She rummaged through the closet and pulled out an outfit, "I thought I could help you with that."
My eyes widened and I laughed in disbelief, "No way. I can't believe you even have this." I reached both of my hands out to grab it.

She giggled, "Hey, just because I'm a Senator doesn't mean I don't like to live a little. And trust me, Anakin will be all over you in this dress."
I smiled and felt a blush forming on my cheeks, thinking about all the possibilities of what could happen later tonight. That is, if he still wants me. He never told me what would happen when his break was over but I guess I was gonna find out tonight.
"I've never worn anything like this before, but I think it's time I stepped out of my comfort zone." I smirked and eyed the dress up and down.
Padmé nodded in agreement and beckoned for me to follow her out of her room, "Now something else we need to do is get your hair ready for tonight." She said enthusiastically.
I rose an eyebrow and walked behind her, "What did you have in mind?"
My hair was down right now since I didn't need to put it up for anything. I rarely wear it down and it feels nice and light compared to when it's in a braid or ponytail.
