𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧

WHEN MADDILYN SNAPE WOKE up, it was as a fox, not as a human. Where was she? The girl wondered.

Maddie felt like shit, and most likely also looked like it. As she lay there, she noticed a dozing Sirius Black. 

The memory of what happened flashed in front of her eyes.

Maddie was heading to join Leo and Silver for her transformation when she ran into the Marauders. 

She was about to run off when she saw a familiar face. Her brothers. 

And Remus had already transformed. Maddie cursed to herself. 

Maddie launched herself at Remus, hoping to buy time for the rest of them to get her brother out of danger. The two tumbled around, Remus clearly the stronger animal. 

Maddie howled in pain as she felt her leg break and her vision became blurry before she toppled over in exhaustion. Before she completely blacked out she heard a familiar voice saying "You're going to explain why the hell Snape was here."

After that memory, Maddie fell unconscious again. 

THUNDER BOOMED AS SIRIUS Black watched Maddilyn Snape, guilt in his eyes. He had been staying in the Hospital Wing, way over hours, every minute he could spare. Madam Pomfrey knew it was hopeless trying to keep Sirius out of the Hospital Wing, since he'd always reappear somehow. 

When Sirius had fell asleep, Maddie had still been a fox. When he woke up, Maddie was still asleep, but had re-transformed back into her normal human self.  He later learned that Maddie was still in vital condition. 

And things got worse for Sirius when Severus Snape stalked into the room. 

"Madam Pomfrey-" Severus back-tracked and spotted his sister. "I got the potions you asked for." he said distractedly. "Will someone explain why the hell my sister is here?"

"Funny story actually," Sirius gulped nervously. 

"I'm here because your stupid ass decided to listen to Sirius," Maddie muttered, eyes opening. She was still out of sorts of what exactly happened. "You see, it's basic twin telepathy. You decided to follow Sirius and his friends, and I was so surprised, I fainted and died. While I died, I broke my leg, went to McDonalds and met Jesus Christ." 

"I have a hard time believing that, Mads," Severus said, rolling his eyes at his younger sister's antics. "What kind of things has Madam Pomfrey given you?"

"Believe what you will," Maddie said, shrugging. "Anyways, what are you doing here?" 

"Professor Slughorn sent me with some potions for Madam Pomfrey," Severus explained. "What's Black doing here?"

"Beats me," Maddie shrugged. "What are you doing here, Sirius?" 

"Waiting around for you to finally wake up," Sirius said. "I should probably go, though."

"See you around," Maddie said as Sirius dashed out of the Hospital Wing, seeming eager to leave. 

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING with him?" Severus asked. "His friend is a werewolf, Mads. You're smarter than this." 

"Werewolf?" Maddie said, playing dumb. 

"Yes, a werewolf," Severus said. "Stay away from them, I don't want to see you get hurt." 

"Thanks, Sev, but I can handle myself," Maddie said.
