PERSEPHONE AND RAYNE ROSIER had a whole life ahead of them. Although they were twins, Persephone and Rayne were the most different people you could ever meet. They had their fair share of fights, at the end of the day, they were always sisters.

Persephone and Rayne had a future ahead of them. They were of the Ancient and Noble House of Rosier. They weren't the highest in the pureblood hierarchy, but they were certainly well respected.

They had a future, but it was all destroyed that summer.

HOW THEIR OLDER BROTHER, Evan Rosier, found out about the Snake Bite Rebellion, the Rosier twins would never know. But now, they were cornered, their brother hissing how Persephone and Rayne Rosier were a disgrace to the Rosier name.

Persephone, being the more outgoing one of the two, defended herself and her twin.

"I know you've been working against the Dark Lord," Evan hissed, his usually tidy self looking messier and crazier than what the twins were used to. "You two are disgusting!"

"Expelliar-" Persephone began to say.

"Crucio!" Evan cut off his sister. Persephone started screaming and writhing.

"In love with that mudblood!" Evan spat. "Even worse, it's a girl you're in love with."

(guys i mean no offense to people who identify with LGBTQIAP+. This is how I imagine pureblood ideology is like, but i don't agree with it at all.)

Persephone's only answer was her screams of pain. "Stop it brother," Persephone panted out.

Rayne stood there in horrified shock. "Evan, stop!" Rayne whispered, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Evan turned his eyes on Rayne. "And you! You've tainted our blood with that Pettigrew boy. You dare taint the blood of the Noble House of Rosier!"

Rayne's tears flowed like a river.

"Family... before... all..." Persephone gasped out. "Would... you... really... kill... your... own... flesh... and... blood?"

"Shamefully, we share the same blood, but you are not my family," Evan hissed angrily, his look becoming crazier. His concentration on the spell intensified Persephone's pain.

"Please..." Persephone gasped, before she went limp.

BEING HELD UNDER THE Cruatias Curse was nothing new for Persephone Rosier. It was a common pureblood obedience method that many purebloods used to break in their children to have the same ideals they did.

Persephone wasn't afraid of death. She was named after the Greek Goddess, the Queen of the Underworld after all.

Which was why, under the Cruatias Curse, she merely did nothing to fight. She wouldn't fight fate. Fighting fate meant fighting the literal impossible, and Persephone was the literal definition of impossible, being a witch, which the Muggle world only thought a fantasy story.

Persephone took pain well, having experienced it so many times, and once she felt the end near, she let go.

After all, she deserved just a moment of peace in her wild life. She had lived, loved, suffered heartbreak, and died. She was one of the thousands who died each day, and she would be forgotten in time.

RAYNE ROSIER ON THE other hand, wanted to live out life. She was very afraid of death, and wanted to live life to it's fullest. Rayne, to be honest, was always a tad bit jealous of her sister's bravery, and often wondered why Persephone Rosier wasn't sorted into Gryffindor.
