Skull loved the sea. And his answer as to why would be easy to explain but hard to grasp for others who don't understand him. Like most of his so-called colleagues, the Arcobaleno. The sea is unbound. It gathers, grows and cannot be restrained. For in all its entirety and seemingly harmless to take a dive in, it's power -when utilised like a raging fit- can destroy in a heartbeat and extinguish all that live in or around it. It also gives live, everything came from it.
And this goes for Skull, for he had no memories besides waking up near the shore, underwater. So he, like the beginning of all lifeforms, crawled up upon the beach and slowly settled into his new surroundings and explored, enjoying his discoveries and experiences. Like waves, his temperament would always swing back to a loud attitude before settling down for a short respite.
His bikersuis functions as his swimsuit, so he can do what he loves at all times and feel connected to both at the same time.He doesn't know 'Family' for he doesn't remember anything like it. Hence why he was so Heartbroken by Luce's betrayal. He had tried to be in a family and getting along with his 'sort-of siblings'... But his efforts were wasted when they reached that mountain. She'd cast them in an Abyss deeper than the greatest Cliff and that was while facing light streaming down IPin their faces, like mocking them that they can't escape drowning under it.
This, was a new version of emotion for Skull - for it was the first time he felt fire in his veins, like he could burn them all. His eyes tormenting them with the same mercy a tsunami would bring before it clashes upon shore. Engraving them with a thought 'Oh... I can't escape this, can I?'.
But that's not who Skull is.
He wants to give equal chances to all who he lives with - but if they take too much then it's too much.Hence when he woke up, before the others, as an infant, and found out how his bond that he'd treasured was just a chain that led to this. His, their sacrifice for her.
He was used.
Felt abused.
And angry.
He went to her "Why."
"So my blood could survive."
That was it for him. The Earth had shook, waters raging, climbing up the mountain in a spiral and reaching the broken child it cared for.
It whipped at the woman, the cause of this, and swept the infant away to its embrace, below the sea and into the corals of the Great Barrier Reef to calm down among the beautiful nature and fish.Years later, after Luce's death, Skull remained impartial to the following events and Sky Arcobaleno's, hoping that they were different and knowing that they weren't the ones who's trapped them into this form. Alas, he never left the Ocean much. So when Reborn had forced him into Carcassa, he'd convinced (read:threatened) them in the same manner he'd vent on Aria, to become their Advisor and Admiral for their Sea Fleets.
That wasn't all.
Besides his Ability to naturally breathe underwater he's immune to all kinds of poison found underwater, be it from fish or plant. His emotions can create phenomenon with the water in the air, atmosphere, pipe water, everywhere except the blood of the human body or Alcohol. He can feel the intentions of the Ocean, wether it is about to rain, cause a Natural phenomenon or is 'worried' about him and sends him fish to cheer up. Similarly, Oodako, his Arcobaleno Animal Partner, was a gift by that same ocean.
He also has a great voice mirroring the Sirens of myth though no one knows this.
He decided to show it to the two people he feels closest to, who were like Parents. Fon and as weird as it seems, Mammon, or as he's allowed to call her (he was threatened to call her that or he'd have to pay, a lot) Viper.
