Skull was a reincarnator - the kind that died once and was reborn into a different body & world.
It's actually not that uncommon for this world, but most of those who are can be identified by unique supernatural powers which they showed/ manifested upon the age of 4.
Needless to say, while it wasn't uncommon, it was a <3% chance that one's child would be a reincarnator.
So the major population of their Earth had 'normal' people (that possessed Dying Will Flames Only - mostly Mafia), reincarnators and the rest.

However, Skull hadn't shown signs of being one so his birth parants abandoned him, not wanting a weak and useless child.
But that was just what Skull had wanted - being left alone.
He'd rather not be near people,
or parent-figures; those were mostly trash one way or another.
And he knows the Abusive kind very well. His past life has been with one afterall.

Truth be told, he was and pretended not to be anything special for that type of reason.
He knew they would abandon him if he wasn't what they wanted.
As for his origins (aka his previous life), he came from a World similar to this one; geography, language, etc. with the exception of one major factor his old world possessed: the existence of so-called "Quirks".
Sure, there were select few that were labeled without one known as Quirkless, but he'd been "lucky", having been born with a strong one.
Tho if it went his way then he'd have rather chosen to not have had it; something that connected him to that burning trashcan that called himself a Hero.
Which is why, even if he knew his body was stronger in this life,
he didn't want to use it and be connected to that man when he finally got rid of him...
Unless his old "aquaintences" somehow ended up here as well.
It could be.....

Back to the matter at hand:
For now he needed backing,
a job - something that provides him with a roof, money and food.
He went around looking for something until he found it
- a circus.
The workers there were nice and gladly took him in after he told them how his parents ditched him and he was left to die in a hole.
He grew up at the circus and honestly? He didn't expect that these people, with no blood relations (well most of them),
could be called a family. According to their definition: "Family is who you accept in your life, love and want to protect and who would do the same for you."
...Would the L.O.V. count as his old family?

When he was old enough -16 y.O.- he volunteered to substitute for their temporarily hired stuntman.
He had owned a motorbike in his past life and sure enough,
those stunts he sometimes pulled on the heros still did the trick.
He just needed to work on making them new Muscle memory. Instead of an Assistant he became an official performer and known as the {immortal stuntman Skull DeMorte}.

The name wasn't really something that fit his personality, he admits. It sounded bratty and like he had a stick up his ass too tight.
But there was a reason for why he still chose to keep that name.
>Skull< as his face was now officially healthy, slowly started to resemble his original appearance.

{Over time reincarnators were prone to return or resemble their original lifes appearance.
According to a study that was either because:
1) the Soul entered a body with the most suitable wavelength to its original or
2) the Soul's first form is imprinted upon it and slowly transmitted onto the body, transmorphing it so as to better adjust.}

>DeMorte< was his clue to others who were looking for him that he could be a reincarnator and doesn't fear death or to kill.

Very rarely, he let others call him Touya.
They (the circus troop) were then sure he was a born Japanese and it was his real name, meaning he was opening up to them.
Not really though, the name belonged to a dead man that didn't even exist in this world and his parents this time around didn't bother giving him a name unless he'd proven to be a reincarnator and "gift" him a name then.
They were worthless in his eyes. He remembered their name and face, just in case he was old enough to kill them later,
them being unable to recognise him so as to end their relationship as strangers forever.
