While they were made to work with each other, to become the team known as Arcobaleno, the bonds they made with each other were privy to them and them alone. They weren't responsible for the bond one held with the other. Issues not relevant to or affecting their group dynamic as a whole were left alone.
For example, Verde and Viper worked well together as they both had an interest in information. Some even say that Viper advertised Verde's works while Verde funded them on some occasion if not providing sweets.
On the other hand, Fon and Viper worked together in silence, spending their time together doing their own thing while sparsely exchanging conversation. A meditative silence that allowed them to think and center themselves while not being alone.
Lal and Fon were a bit more on the try-it and improve-it fence, working through hand-to-hand combat. It wasn't purely for the sake of training though, but also to coordinate body language.
As a sniper, a martial artist like Fon provided the best example to see different moves that could hinder your target. At the same time Fon got all kinds of military feedback from Lal, exchanging war stories with her. The latter is also done with Colonello, a later addition to the team. He isn't the type to try and study body movements to improve his shooting style, relying on his talent and gut.
He and Fon exchange stories as well, but mostly everyday troubles, such as Colonello's various attempts to woo Lal, or Fon trying to reconnect with his nephew. They lament in misery while being consoled in it as well.Reborn's relationship with the others is one of the few that mirror the rest: the leader role. While not a Sky, Reborn was unanimously made to be the tie-breaker in most decisions, even counting with Luce or Aria, nowadays Uni, who still deigns to rely on his advice.
While the leader of the group he also has his own associations with each member, some more pleasant that others. It depends on wether or not he sees the need to steer their training or not and improve their skills.Skull, for that very same reason, was on a more perilous and stressful relationship with him that the rest. While he's certain Reborn is his personal misery in life, he trusts him to not endanger him without a backup plan just as much - if not more. It held true so far, cause Reborn is nothing if not knowledgeable about the extent of his inner circles strengths & weaknesses.
The irony about that is that Reborn placed Skull and Colonello on missions together.
Who knew why he made that arrangement but, after Skull went to Fon about the reason -"a fountain of wisdom, that guy"- he got Fon's uptake on it: Skull was to teach Colonello about their groups current dynamics and past missions, whilst learning from Colonello about shooting and other military procedures, i.e. hand signals, tactics, codes, etc.Taking that to heart and knowing Fon had great insight, Skull went for a direct approach towards the Rain. He was honest about his intentions, declaring that Reborn forced them and neither could argue against the order. Colonello had to concede to that (and he appreciates honesty), before suggesting they start by introducing each other properly if they were to work together.
"Y'know," he said "name, element, occupation, weapon..."
Skull had chuckled a little, thrown back to the memory of the first meeting of their strange, morally dubious, group. "Then why don't you start?"
"Why should I? You seem younger than me."
"It's polite. And you suggested it anyways."
Colonello seemed taken aback, scrunching up his face as if struck by an uncomfortable deja vu before he sighed. "Fine. I'm Colonello -no aftername.
I'm a Rain, COMSUBIN-officer, sniper. I like Lal and bikes."Skull brightened up at the last mention. "Oh, something we share!"
Colonello bristled. "Listen here, asshole, if you look at Lal the wrong way I'll make sure--"
