Oops.
"You're Alpha Jason's daughter?" Jake asks, shock lacing his voice.
I peek up to see Gabriel staring at me in shock. I offer a small smile.
"You're the Alpha's daughter?" Gabriel asks.
Let me explain, there is only one female born alpha in a generation. There won't be another one until I die or give birth to a daughter. The female alpha is one of the most powerful werewolves due to the fact that we are very unique. I often hide my dominance, making people believe that I am more of a weaker wolf.
"Oops?" I say and shrug my shoulders.
"'Oops'?" Gabriel cocks a perfect brow at my words.
"I may or may not be the female alpha of our generation." I mumble, fiddling with Gabe's shirt.
Silence envelops me and I spare a quick glance around the room. Gaping mouths greet me. I gaze at Gabriel for a moment before looking back at my -his- shirt. In seconds, I hear multiple 'thuds' and look up again to see that Jake, Josh, and the rest of the pack, except Gabriel, are on their knees. Everyone has his or her head down, hands over hearts.
I blink. "Um, you don't have to go all formal on me," I mumble, fidgeting with a bandage on my arm.
"You're amazing," Gabriel mutters, grinning.
"Hardly," I deadpan. "Wait, so does this mean I get to go to the game?" I ask and Gabriel scowls.
"July's on her way," I hear Josh say and I grin.
But my grin doesn't last long. Shit. I don't feel so good anymore. What the hell? The world spins for a moment and I shake my head, trying to focus my hazy vision. Everyone is instantly on their feet.
"Journey?" Gabe's worried voice fills my ears.
I give a shaky laugh and give him a reassuring smile before coughing into my hand. My throat hurts. Why did my mouth feel wet?
Wait.
I pull my hand up back to my face and look at it in shock. Blood splatters my hand abstractly. My face pales as I glance at Gabriel and cover my mouth only to break out into a coughing fit. Gabriel moves to my side to support me as raspy coughs wrack my lungs. I hold onto him and bend down, my legs feeling less supportive.
A white hankerchief is offered in front of me and I look up to see Jake looking at me in, what looks like, concern. I give him a closed-lipped smile and take the hankerchief from him, coughing into it.
When the coughs die down, leaving me aching, I take a quick glance at the now blood covered cloth. I give Jake an apologetic look. "I'm sorry," I apologize.
"Please, Luna, do not apologize. Are you alright?" He asks me.
"She's coughing blood. Does she look alright?" Gabriel snaps. I elbow him before smiling at the now seemingly frightened Beta.
"I'm fine. Just a little cough. Ya know, I must have a cold or something." I lie. Everyone in the room knows I'm lying. I know they know I'm lying. Heck, I think they know that I know that they know that I'm lying.
"Journey," Gabriel warns and I wave him off, standing tall once again.
"Well, I have a game to get to," I announce and give a wave farewell to everyone.
Before Gabriel can even catch up, I briskly walk to his room and into the bathroom before locking the door and rushing to the toliet. Sickness overcomes me and leaves my mouth soon after. It just won't stop. I think to myself. Fuck. It's red. There's blood. Oh my God.
