I lead Gabriel down the hall and try not to touch him. We are still playing the stupid game I brought up and have been playing it for a week. My wolf whines a bit at the thought that I haven't touched my mate in a week.

Finally coming upon an empty and abandoned classroom, I enter and shut the door behind Gabriel, placing a chair underneath the doorknob to keep away intruders.

"Gabe-"

"I don't understand, Journey."

I blink and look at Gabriel in confusion.

He looks up at me with sad, tired eyes. "I don't know what you want from me. I stop touching you. I keep a guy from touching you, but who do you defend? A human? You picked a human boy over your own mate?" He asks harshly and I shake my head.

"Gabriel-"

"No, Journey! Now, goddamnit! What the hell do you-?!"

I cut him off with my lips. I jump on his lap, wrapping my legs around his torso, and run my hands through his soft locks. He responds instantly and kisses me back with hunger.

A week.

We haven't touched in a week.

The kiss becomes more desperate as I realize how much I missed his touch. His tongue swipes at my bottom lip for entrance and I open my mouth, happily deepening the kiss.

"Gaberiel," I groan his name and I feel his hand start to go under my shirt.

"Journey," he moans back quietly when I bite his lip.

"Let's not ever do that again," I sigh when he pulls away and put my head on his chest.

"Do what?"

I smirk slightly and press kisses up his neck. I feel him tense beneath me and I giggle.

"Let's not ever not touch each other," I explain through the small kisses.

"O-oh," he replies, most likely distracted by my lips, which were back on his.

I ball my hands up against his hard chest and melt into the kiss even though I am the one who initiated it. He pulls me impossibly closer and runs a hand through my plain, brown hair.

"Gaberiel, why do you care so much about that skank?" Vanessa's sugary voice gritted out between her teeth.

"That skank is my mate, Vanessa, and you have any sense in that empty head of yours, I suggest you don't taint her name with your filth mouth," A recent Gabriel snapped.

"She's your mate, but you can't deny that what we had was different, right? I meant more to you, right?" The hope in her voice was heartbreaking.

"No."

The cold voice of Gabriel rang out.

"What?" Vanessa's voice cried. "You said that-!"

"I said that you were a nice lay, Vanessa. I said that you were good to keep around to mess around with, but I never said what we did meant anything. It didn't mean anything."

"But-" Vanessa started.

"Vanessa," Gabriel interrupted. "If you so much as think about Journey, I will not hesitate to kill off your pack. I've done it before either others who have not listened and you and your pack are down the same road. Tell your Alpha to stop sniffing around my territory, too. I know you all have been loitering around and I've ignored it, but one more time and-" Gabriel's eyes lit up with danger, "You're all dead."
