"Journey?" I gasp and whip around to find crimson eyes burning my baby blue ones.
"Gabriel?" I ask, not really believing it was him.
"What are you-?" he starts at the same time that I do. He pauses. "You go first," he offers a bit sheepishly.
"I'm just here to get away from my Dad right now," I blurt out and mentally facepalm. Tell him your whole life story, why don't ya? I see the wheels in his head turning at my words. I'm such a fucking idiot. "What are you doing here?" I ask instead and try not to trip over my own headphones that were now dangling past my legs.
"You can't smell it?" he asks and I shake my head, confused. "Journey, this is my pack territory." He says slowly. That would explain the amazing smell that was never here before.
"Oh, sorry," I mutter and look away. "I guess I'll go, then," I hated how dejected I sound.
I start to walk past Gbariel but he sntaches my jacket sleeve. "Why do you smell like July?" He asks me curiously.
Being the idiot I am, I forget the girl and ask, "Like the month?" As soon as the words tumble out of my mouth I recall July. The girl who let me borrow her jacket because of Jason the Dickweed. I clear my throat. "Oh, you mean July. Like the person July not the...month." I finish lamely. Gabriel smirks and nods like he was agreeing with a small child. "Oh, uh, she lent me her jacket. See?" I explain, lifting my arms up to my sides to show him the long jacket that fell past my thighs.
He cocks his head to the left. "And why do you have her jacket?" he asks.
"Um, well, haha. Um...wait, how do you know July?" I ask, genuinely curious.
"She's in my pack. She's mates with my Third." he explains and I nod.
"Oh," Is all I can say.
"Why do you smell like the water?" He shoots at me and my eyes widen at his sudden question.
Before I can think, the words, "I fell into the tub." leave my mouth. Damn my no filter mouth.
Amusement swims in his eyes for a brief moment before they go serious and a sort of ticked look emerges onto his face. "Journey, it's snowing outside!" he yells and I nod.
"Yeah, and I like Luck Charms. So what?" I ask, not getting why he was peeved.
Gabriel walks up to me and places his hand on my head, stroking my hair. It sent shivers of pleasure down my back. His closeness instantly warmed me up and his touch sent my brain into a frenzy. He leaned down and, for a moment, I thought he was going to kiss me but then he passes my lips and settles for whispering in my ear.
"Your hair is still damp." He reasons and pulls back. His retreat was what actually made me feel cold. I shrug, realizing that I must have looked like a rigid statue.
"Oh well. It'll dry and it's not like I'm really going anywhere specific or anything. I don't really care if I look like crap. I don't have anyone really to impress but you because, ya know, you're my mate and all. Plus, it would be kinda weird if I didn't want to look cute in front of you because, ya know, you're really-:"
"Journey, say that again." Gabriel interrupts me. His eyes closed during my rambling session and he pulled one open to peek at me through a half opened eye.
"What?" I ask, confused once again.
"Repeat what you just said." He breathes and not understanding why, I oblige.
"I don't really care what I look like," I pause and freeze when I realize what he wants me to say. "Because...you're my mate." I whisper and I hear his breath hitch.
"Are you accepting me, Journey May?" He asks, a grin slowly stretching across his face. He was looking down at me through his long lashes.
I nod. "How could I not?" I mutter and blush when he grins even more, meaning he heard the mumble. "But," I abruptly pull him from his daydreaming. "I am not going to be some mindless mate that follows you around. Gabriel, I have baggage. Big time baggage. Just because we're mates does not mean we're gonna jump each other's bones every minute we get alone. So, before you get all happy, I need to know one thing. Do you really wanna do this?"
Gabriel looks at me seriously, a small smile playing on his lips. "You have no idea. I'll go as slow as you want. Just know, Journey, that I want you. And what I want, I'll get." he says cockily.
"You sure?" I ask once more. It's not like I really had a choice, though. I wanted him, too. Bad.
Gabriel looks at me and grins. "Positive."
A/N: I am so sorry for the cheesiness! It's super late and I just wanted to update. The next chapter will for sure be a lot better than this one. And written way better, too. Again, I just wanted to update so this may not be the best chapter in the world. Please keep reading and don't let this chapter decide the fate of this book. Thank you and sorry again.

Manusia Serigala" I know, " he whispers, taking a step towards me. "What?" I ask angrily. "I know." He repeats, his voice cracking. Gabriel looked as if he was on the verge of tears. He shoves my sleeve up; revealing my scarred arm. "And I'm sorry that I wasn't the...
