The smell of werewolves hits me before anything else does. It was only natural, I suppose. That werewolves mix with werewolves. Though I did smell some humans, too. People stare as I make my way through the school parking lot. I know what they felt. It was my alpha blood. My mother was a born Luna which never really happened a lot. Plus, my father was once the top Alpha in the country. So, I inherited both of their power. But I never really flaunted it around much.
A disgusting voice pulls me from my thoughts, "Oh look, it's the rogue." Jason, one of the dickweeds that taunted me, sneers. I stop, looking ahead. Jason gets close, running his hands up and down my body. I don't spare him a glance. I clench my jaw as he gets a little too close to my princess parts. "Oh, are you getting angry, rogue?" He taunts.
You see, everyone made the false accusation that my father and I were rogues. Which we aren't but we weren't in a pack either. My father didn't need an Alpha to keep him in line because he was once one himself and a damn fine one, I believe. His presence also kept me in check and my wolf calm. So, we weren't the crazed animals that shredded my mother but we weren't some pups who played simon says with their alpha either.
"Hey, rogue. It's not fun when you don't respond." Jason says. Everyone in the hallway was staring at us now. What Jason didn't know, though, was that I've changed in the two months we had off from school. I was no longer the trash that they could throw away. I hated my wolf but I learned to slowly accept the monster inside and turn my hatred into power. "Rogue." Jason calls harshly. I slowly turn to look at him.
"Leave me alone, Jason." I say carefully. Jason lets a malicious smile curve onto his lips.
"Or. What." He spits, twirling my hair between his fingers.
I jerk away from him. "Or else." I whisper, trying to control myself. He knew I was the more dominant one between the both of us but I never acted on my dominance so I came off weak. Jason gives me another smile before pushing my chin up to look at him. He leans in close.
"Hit me, rogue. I dare you." He taunts once again and I press my lips together. My whole body was shaking in anticipation and anger.
Don't, Journey. I think to myself. But then, Jason does something that makes everyone in the hall gasp. He trails his finger down from my chin to my chest, his finger dangerously close to my breast.
For a moment, an amazing smell hits me. It's intoxicating and the beast inside sings. I don't have any time to think about his for Jason is ripped away from me in a blur. He's thrown down to the ground and a boy that is very very attractive is on top of him...beating the living lights out of Jason. I gasp but just watch as I see Jason getting what he had coming to him. Every part of my body was being pulled towards the boy beating up my 'bully'. It takes four people to pull him off of Jason.
He was an Alpha. That was for sure. Power radiated off of him in waves making everyone in the room, except me, submit to him. He was still trying to reach the now very bloody and limp Jason. I blink at the boy when he turns to me and gasp. His eyes were a very prominent red and his canines were poking out as he tried to control his wolf. After a moment of silence, his canines retracted and the only sound in the hallway was him panting. The four wolves holding him hesitantly let him go, waiting for him to rush Jason again.
Someone in the hall pulled Jason across the floor. I watched as the boy who had always taunted me whimpered in pain. My eyes find crimson ones and my breath hitches. He had dark brown hair and crimson eyes. The strange alpha was breathing normally now but he still had a crazed look in his eyes. He smelt like the woods. An earthy smell that made me feel amazing; safe. The boy takes a step forward and the four other wolves around him also take a cautious step. They were all ready to hold him back if need be.
As he made his way to me, I felt my heart pound harder and harder. One word kept playing in my mind but I pushed it away. No way. When the mysterious boy reaches me, he immediately pulls me into a hug. I hear him smell me and relax against my body. The he whispers something that makes me freeze.
"Mate." And then...it started to snow.
A/N: Hi again! I tried to update and make this one longer. I don't think I succeeded the latter. Anyways, please tell me whether you enjoyed this chapter! Thanks a bunch, bye!
