Chapter 13

"Well, shit."

Josh enters and blushes at my basically bare state. I yelp and Gabriel whips around to Josh.

"Get out. Now." He says in his Alpha voice.

"Alpha-"

"Now." Gabriel interrupts.

"Josh! Let her get dressed, you perv," I hear July call on the other side of the door.

"S-sorry, Alpha," Josh mutters before hauling ass outside.

I laugh at his sudden formalities due to Gabriel's anger. Gabriel turns to me, a look to kill in his eyes. I gulp and in an instant I'm in the bed once again, Gabriel on tip of me, his hands pinning my arms above my head.

"Something funny?" He asks huskily.

I shake my head. "N-not really." I lie and start to giggle.

"Oh?" Gabriel asks, leaning closer to my face. I nod and he closes the space, his lips were grazing mine. His eyes were an ablaze once again as he looked me in the eyes. I didn't feel like submitting like everyone else, though.

"Alpha-" an unfamiliar voice cuts off our moment. Gabriel is up and off of me in a few seconds and holding a wolf by the collar.

"Who said you could enter?" Gabriel growls but the wolf's eyes were on me. His gaze swept over my whole body, locking in on my legs. I blush and flinch when I hear a sudden 'crack'.

Gabriel was looming over the wolf dangerously. I jump off the bed and go to Gabriel. His hands were in balls as he tried to control himself. "Gabriel," I call his name when he takes a step forward. He stops and looks at me. His canines were poking out and I take a step back, surprised. He pulls me into his arms and inhales my scent.

"Leave. Now." He growls and the wolf runs out of the room in a flash. "You're mine." He whispers and I freeze.

"I am," I whisper and stroke his back. He freezes at my words and lets out a deep sigh. "Gabriel?" I ask.

"Hmm?" I hear him hum against my neck.

"Two things. One: why are you smelling me? And two: I'm still in your shirt."

I blink and Gabriel is facing the wall, his back towards me. "I'm smelling you because you smell amazing." I hear him mumble.

I blush at his words. "Oh." Is all I say before throwing on my clothes and running shaky finger through my hair. "Okay," I breathe.

"What's wrong?" Gabe asks me, turning back around.

"I'm scared," I admit quietly. "I'm going to be a terrible Luna and-"

Gabriel puts a finger to my lips. "You're going to be great," he says and I shake my head. "They'll love you or-"

"You'll kill them?" I ask and he nods seriously. "Gabriel," I sigh. "I've barely known you for two days," I reason.

"So?"

"So," I start, "don't you think we're going to fast?" I ask, knowing what I was saying isn't right. Usually, mates get together almost immediately.

His gaze softens. "I told you, Journey, we can go as slow as you like. Don't feel pressured. As long as you'll have me, I'm okay with never kissing you until the day we die." He says.

"Really?"

"No," he admits, biting his lips. "But, I will take it slow for you, Journey." He says seriously.

I stare at him longer than normal and smile. "Okay,"

"Okay?"

"Yeah," I sigh. "Let's do this,"

He grins and grabs my hand, leaning in for a quick peck before dragging me out of the room.

"Quiet."

That one word forces everyone in the room to immediately quiet down and look up at their Alpha....and me.

Two men come to stand in front of Gabe. One of the men being Josh. The other one I don't recognize, though he looks our age.

"Alpha," They both say in unison and I almost giggle at Josh's formal tone. He shoots me a glare before presuming in staring at Gabe.

I look over at Gabriel to see that he has a cold mask on as he looked on at his pack. This Gabriel was unfamiliar to me. "Everyone, I would like to inform you that I, Alpha Gabriel, have found my mate." He informs and a few gasps travel around the room. "This lovely girl beside me is her; my mate. Journey is your soon to be Luna. Do you all understand? She is to be treated with your utmost respect. You will treat her like one of us and protect her with your lives. She will one day lead you along with me. I command that you-"

"Gabriel!" I gasp his name and freeze when I realize that I just interrupted their Alpha during his speech.

He glances at me, cocking a brow. "You make it seem as if I'm a queen," I joke and he looks at me seriously.

"You are."

I choke at his words. Rolling my eyes, I walk over to the Beta. Taking his hands in mine, I look him directly in the eye and smile. "Hi, my name's Journey. Gabe makes me sound like some frail princess that you must protect and respect and blah, blah, blah." I grin at the Beta's shocked expression. "I'm no princess, but I'll try to be a good Luna. I promise."

The Beta just gives a curt nod and I look over to see Josh roll his eyes. "Pipe down, Jake." He says.

The Beta puts a hand over his heart and bows at a perfect 90° angle. "Welcome, Luna." He greets. I wait for him to look up at me and say 'kidding', but he doesn't. He just straightens out before glaring at Josh.

I look at Gabe for some explanation, but he just beams at me.

I make my rounds with the pack and figure out that the rest of the pack is just as formal as Jake. Except for Josh and July, of course.

"They love you," Gabriel mutters in my ear as we walk out of the room.

I snort. "Gabe, you had warned them that if they didn't love me, you'd kill them."

"Journey," Gabe says seriously and I stop.

"Yeah?" I ask, turning towards him.

"Will you come watch the game?" He asks.

"What game?"

"The football game." He fills and I look at him.

"Why?"

He sighs roughly and runs a hand through his hair. "Because I'm the quarterback." He says.

"You are?" I ask, surprised.

"Yeah. Hot, right?" He asks and I roll my eyes.

"Totally," I snort.

"So, will you?" He asks again.

"Hmm," I hum, feigning thoughtfulness. "Why not?" I shrug.

"Really?" He asks and I nod my head.

He gives me a peck on the cheek before grinning.

"Cool. I'll drive you home,"

A/N: Ridiculously short? Yes. Ridiculously late? Definitely. I...am so sorry. I kinda had another writer's block and this chapter sucks, but I just had a sudden urge to update. This story has been getting some love, surprisingly, so I wanted to show that I'm still alive. Please, please forgive me for not updating. I will try to get my shit together. I'm sorry that I updated a filler, but you'll just have to suck it up, I guess. I'm just really tired and yeah. So sorry, once again. Comment how much you've missed or not missed my story. Okay?
