019: The Red Flags

"Don't be scared. I will help. Promise."

Lana and Billy walked through the entrance of the pool and did their usual routine, heading straight into the locker room.
She pulled off her shorts and put them in the locker.
He proceeded to put his tank top in the locker as well.

"Let's get this shit over with."
Lana said jokingly.
Billy chuckled at her and they kissed and grabbed their gear, starting off for the pool.

She got to her station and climbed up, getting situated, glancing out at the pool.
Her eyes landed on Billy and she saw how uncomfortable he looked.

Lana studied Him and saw he was sweating.
It almost seemed as if the sun hurt Billy.
She watched as he bumped into someone, unsteadily walking and She steadily grew concerned for Him.

Billy finally climbed the ladder and got seated underneath the umbrella.
He seemed to be fine but was still sweating.
He appeared to be in great discomfort.

Lana started to grow suspicious.
Something didn't sit right with her.

As work ended, Lana decided not to mention anything yet to Billy until she gathered more information.
She couldn't risk anything.
Lana watched Billy flinch underneath the sun as he walked quickly towards the locker rooms.
She causally turned to walk towards the locker room after him.

"You alright, babe?"
Lana asked Billy casually.
He just nodded.
He was coated in sweat.

"I'm going to take a quick shower,
Okay?"
He asked Her.
She just nodded and he kissed her quickly, walking into the shower.

Lana pulled her shorts on and sat on the bench, waiting.
Her thoughts started to stray back to Anthony and that all familiar fear came creeping back.
