“damn it,” you grumbled, “where'd that strawberry deer go?”

you crossed your arms over your chest, pouting as you walked down the hallway. you just came from the said deer's room in search for him since he had promised cuddles. did he just ditched you or what?

“damn coward.” you grumbled more just in time to spot the open door of the library.

curious, you peeked and to your pleasure, alastor sat on a large comfortable chair that he practically owned now since he was always the one who sat there.

you approached to see that he was fast asleep. asleep or just pretending to be? you rolled your eyes with a small groan.

you then pouted before standing still and watching him. your pout curled up into a smile at the sight of his peaceful state. he looked so peaceful with a small smile on his lips as if he didn't torment others and murdered hundreds (or even thousands, who knows).

you hadn't realized how you also felt peace and relaxed by watching him. you took a step closer, poking his cheek when you did so. he looked really fluffy and you just had to. you poked him again, giggling to yourself at how you could only do this when he was asleep.

or so you thought. you let out a sound of surprise when he opened his eyes and pulled you down on his lap by your wrist. he looked down at you, eyebrow raised and a smirk at how your face reddened due to being caught.

“and what was that about?” he asked.

“i . . . er . . . ” you cleared your throat and crossed your arms over your chest, “you didn't show up when you promised me we'd cuddle and i— mmh!”

as you were explaining, you didn't catch his grin as he leaned closer before cutting you off by placing his lips against yours. you immediately responded back after realizing what he was doing.

you held on to his shoulder with a shaky hand. alastor smiled into the kiss, loving the fact that he could make you weak with just a kiss.

once he pulled away, he cupped your cheek, his thumb tracing your lower lip as he stared at the softest lips he ever knew. flustered with his sudden softness, you playfully punched his chest before jumping off of his lap.

“go back to sleep.” you muttered.

before you could leave, he held your wrist before pulling you down once more. this time, you faced him and he was quick to kiss you once again.
