Soomi felt In-yeop got out of the bed but she did not dare to move. She's been lying still beside the guy with her back facing him. In-yeop had been acting distant towards her after their encounter with Dong-min. When she got inside his room, he already saw him facing the other side of the bed pretending to sleep. Even though she knew he felt her lie down beside him, he did not do anything unlike before when he immediately wraps her in his warmth as soon as he felt her presence. She knows that he sensed she wants to be part of the plan Dong-min was talking about.

Soomi sat up at the edge of the bed as she stared at the closed door where In-yeop got out minutes ago. Her heart squeezes from pain seeing the guy act distant towards her. She heaved a heavy sigh and wrapped the blanket they share around her body, draping it over her shoulder. She got out of the room and made sure to create no sound because Chorong is sleeping in the living room.

She got out of the house knowing that In-yeop is there and she was right. The guy is at the beach, sitting on the sand, and stares at the vast sea being lit up by the moonlight. She observes the man and noticed his back is hunched like he had lost an important battle in his life. She fixed the blanket draped over her shoulder and walked towards In-yeop. He is holding a can of beer in his hands and some cans are already knocked over on the sand.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" Soomi heard In-yeop said even before she could reach the guy. His eyes are still on the vast sea, not even giving her a single glance. "You should go back inside. It's cold out here," he said and gulped the beer from the can.

Instead of answering, Soomi knelt behind In-yeop and wrapped her arms around his torso as she envelops the guy with the blanket and her warmth. She rested her chin on his shoulder and sighed.

"You're right, it's cold out here. Aren't you feeling cold?" She quietly asked but the guy did not respond. She tilted her head to take a look at his face and saw something she can't quite understand.

Fear? Sadness? Anger? She can't seem to read the guy's expression. Or is it a mix of all? She tightens her embrace around his stomach and rested her cheek on his broad back.

"You've drunk enough. Let's sleep inside," she whispered as she inhales the familiar scent of the guy she loves.

"I'm not sleepy," In-yeop simply answered and sipped more from the canned beer. He continued to be somber, stayed his eyes staring at the vast sea.

Soomi sighed once again and stood up. She removed the blanket from her body and stood in front of In-yeop. "Since you are not sleepy, let's play a game," she said which made her gain a frown from the guy.

"Whoever can hold his breath underwater wins and the winner will get a chance to wish something from the one who lost," Soomi said like she is proud of the game she just thought of. In-yeop just scoffed and continued drinking his liquor.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" He said in his low voice as he eyed the girl.

"Come on. It will be fun," Soomi said and started removing her clothes which made In-yeop mush his eyebrows. Soomi discarded her shirt on the sand leaving her upper body only with her brassiere.
