Chapter 34: The Plan

"Here's what our team has come up with," Dong-min started explaining the plan to everybody as they all gathered in the dining area of the house. They are all seated in a circle as Dong-min lays out Mr. Han's laboratory blueprint on the table.

"Soomi's articles about the laboratory's unusual experiments are not enough. Words will never be enough, we need concrete evidence. We need a video of what's going on inside the laboratory as proof of all the articles," Dong-min continued explaining.

"Where did you get this blueprint?" Yumi asked as she studies all the corners of the place.

"I have my sources," Dong-min proudly smirked which made Chorong scoffed. The fat guy finds Dong-min full of himself.

"What should we do to record what's happening inside the lab?" Soomi asked.

"The building has its tight security so we have to camouflage and act as one of the lab guys," Dong-min answered.

"How are we going to do that? As you said, the place has tight security. Going in and out without access is not possible," Yumi frowned after hearing Dong-min's proposal which sounds impossible.

"We are going to use the vents," Dong-min said and pointed at the vents of the blueprint. "These are the only place in that building which do not have security cameras."

"Smart idea but not smart enough," Chorong commented. "The only way to get inside a vent is by the entrance or exit of each vent which is of course located inside the building as well. How do we get inside those vents though?"

"Restroom," Dong-min answered Chorong's concern quickly. "Every tight security always has its blind spot."

"The last cubicle of the restroom," Soomi blurted out as soon as she realized what Dong-min was talking about.

"That's right," Dong-min said as he snapped his fingers. "One from my team checked the restroom located near the elevators and noticed that the security camera doesn't reach the last cubicle. And luckily, vent cover is located in that last cubicle."

Yumi and Chorong looked at each other as they start to agree with the plan. At first, they thought that breaching through the building's security is impossible but as Dong-min explain the plan further, they are starting to picture out the possible success of it.

"What's my role in this plan?" Soomi asked as he looked at Dong-min.

"Upon checking your profile, we saw that you know how to speak a different language," Dong-min said as she stared at Soomi. The girl nodded in response.

"German," Soomi answered. "What has it got to do with the plan?"

"Mr. Han sent an invitation to different scientists from different countries who can witness the experiment he's been working on. We are going to use that opportunity and pretend that you are one of the invited scientists," Dong-min explained which immediately alarmed In-yeop whose been quietly listening to the plan.

"You mean Soomi will be the one to take a video of what's happening inside the laboratory?" Yumi asked, baffled at what she just learned.

"Yes," Dong-min simply answered which made In-yeop stood from his chair and grabbed the policeman by the collar of his shirt.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" In-yeop pulled Dong-min close to him without letting go of his shirt. "Do you think I'll allow that to happen?!"

"We have no other choice. If we don't do this, we'll lose the opportunity to reveal all that old man's dirty secrets," Dong-min explained calmly, not even bothered that the guy in front of him is ready to punch him any moment.
