Chapter 43: Sacrifices

"What?!" Yumi turned her body to Chorong who is seated in the back seat of Dong-min's car. They are on their way to meet Chan-hee and the others when Chorong told them about his conversation with Minwoo and panic immediately shot up her whole body.

"Shit! How will I contact them?" Yumi's breath hitched as she tries to think how to warn the others about the bomb.

"Here. Use this," Dong-min got a phone from the car's compartment while his eyes are focused on the road and handed it to Yumi. Yumi took it and hurriedly dialed the telephone number of the organization's office.

"Hello?" One of the caretakers answered.

"It's Yumi. Please give the phone to Henry," she instructed. Hearing the urgency in the tone of Yumi's voice, the caretaker immediately looked for Henry, the techy person in their group.

"Yumi. What made you call?" Henry asked over the phone.

"There's a bomb in the building," Yumi said right away without wasting any second.

"Whoa whoa! What? What are you talking about?" Henry could not believe what he just heard as his eyebrows knit together.

"There's a fucking bomb in the building, Henry! Get everybody out at once!" Yumi shouted as her fingers lock from the tension she feels throughout her body.

"Rodrigo! Sally! Get everyone out of the building immediately. I'll explain later." Yumi heard Henry shouted as he gives instructions to others. She understood that he did not say about the bomb because he doesn't want them to panic.

"What do we do next?" Henry asked her once all instructions have been given.

"Find the bomb and defuse it," she said giving all her faith to Henry.

"What?! Yumi, that is out of my expertise. You know I am only knowledgeable about gadgets and some basic electrical stuff but not stuff like that!" Henry answered her.

"Henry, listen," Yumi said in a shaky voice. "No one else can do it but you. We cannot let any lives be at stake. I believe in you."

Hearing the worry in Yumi's voice and the great faith she has for him, he sighed and tightly closed his eyes. Cold sweats start to break on his forehead and her palms start to be wet from sweat as well.

"Henry, please," Yumi tried to convince him more. He heaved a long and loud sigh and opened his eyes.

"I'll try," at last he said. Yumi closed her eyes this time, feeling scared and relieved at the same time. "Stay in the call. We'll start searching for the bomb."

"I will," Yumi promised.

"Guys, they got Soomi and In-yeop." Yumi looked at Chorong and Dong-min looked at him through the rear-view mirror.

"What? How did you know about it?" Dong-min asked.

Chorong titled his head to show them the earpiece Minwoo gave him. "Minwoo gave me this which makes me hear what's happening. We have to hurry!"

Yumi tightly held on the phone as she waits for the news regarding the bomb planted in the organization building. On the other hand, Dong-min's grip on the stirring wheel tightens as he stepped on the gas harder.

In-yeop held Soomi's arm tightly but given that there are a lot of thugs surrounding them, he loses his grip and was dragged away from Soomi. Soomi was forcefully sat on a chair and they retied her hands and feet. In-yeop, on the other hand, was kicked on his legs which forcefully made him knelt on the ground facing Soomi.
