Dallas parked his beat up old rustic blue truck a good distance away from Jake's house. All the light's were on in Jake's huge house and the music was blaring. Everyone from school was at Jake's house even some students from different high schools in our region. Liberty walked close by Dallas as they entered the house. "Hey Dallas you showed up!!" Jake had a red solo cup in his hand. "Of course I did!" Dallas said hugging Jake. Liberty awkwardly stood by Dallas' side messing with her sweater. "Oh Jake I would like you to meet Liberty, the girl I was asking you about yesterday." Dallas said. Jake's eyes shifted from Dallas to Liberty. "Oh mystery girl! Well nice to meet you! You should meet my girlfriend Courtney!" Jake said hollering for Courtney. "Hey babe!" Courtney planted a kiss on Jake's lips. "Courtney this is Liberty, Liberty this is Courtney." Jake said taking a drink. "Yeah, umm I know who you are" Liberty said softly.

"I, umm...I like your hair." Courtney said laughing at Liberty almost making fun. Liberty blushed and faced the ground. "Great party right Dallas?" Courntey asked shifting her attention over to Dallas. Liberty looked up and saw Jake's eyes on her. "Yeah it sure is." Dallas replied noticing Liberty. "Well see you around Liberty and I are going to go talk to some other people!" Dallas said. "Okay later dude! Bye Liberty" Jake said walking off with his girlfriend. Dallas put his hand on the small of her back as she walked in front of him. They walked to the backyard where only a few people were. "Dallas I want to leave. I feel uncomfortable." Liberty said softly wrapping her coat around her body to protect her from the cold weather. "Let's just stay a little longer." Dallas replied. "No, you can stay and do whatever you want but I'm walking home." Liberty said running off before Dallas could stop her.

Dallas ran to his truck and followed Liberty as she walked on the sidewalk. Dallas rolled down the passenger window on his truck. "Liberty get in, I'll drive you home." Dallas said as his truck slowly rolled beside Liberty. "No, I can manage without you. " Liberty walked with her hands in her pocket. "It's cold out there just hop in." Dallas said. "Fine." She hopped inside his truck which was equally as cold as it was outside.

It was silent for a while until Dallas spoke up. "So, Liberty what do you like to do for fun?" Dallas asked. Liberty didn't respond for a while but she finally decided to speak. "Dallas what do you want from me?" Liberty asked. "I just want to get to know you and become your friend." Dallas said. "Why?" Liberty questioned. "I uhh, I actually don't know. I guess you just seem interesting to me." Dallas said. "Well, can you just leave me alone." Liberty said as Dallas pulled into her driveway. "I am happy being alone and I don't need friends, they just take away my time." Liberty said. Dallas frowned. "I'm.." Dallas started. "Save your breath Dallas, I already don't like you for dragging me to this party. It was so embarrasing showing up and just having to stand there while your friends looked at me and made fun of me, but I don't blame you, I should of went with my gut and just stayed home. I was so stupid to think that I might just actually fit in and have fun. Just don't talk to me ever again." Liberty said opening the door to Dallas' truck and running inside her house.

Dallas sat there shocked as he watch Liberty run inside. As soon as Liberty was inside she ran upstairs into her room and took off her clothes in a angry manner almost like she was about to cry. She put on some old clothes and walked into her paint studio across the hall. She grabbed her supplies, opened the curtain windows, and began painting the night sky while a tear rolled down her cheek.
