Strangers At First Sight

New Years Party Part 1...

Liberty's head laid on Dallas' lap as the played video games together with Liberty's dad in Liberty's living room. "Okay well that's enough video games for me!" Liberty's dad placed his controller on the coffee table. "Your just mad you keep losing to Dallas!" Liberty said. "Liberty it's not his fault I'm the greatest!" Dallas input. "I just don't want to crush your feelings son!" Liberty's dad responded with a chuckled from Dallas and Liberty. "Right!" Liberty laughed! "Okay well I'm going to hit the gym!" Liberty's dad said walking upstairs.

"I'm impressed it's his day off and he still works out!" Dallas said. "Yeah well it's fun for him!" Liberty said. "Liberty can I ask you something?" Dallas asked. "Liberty got up from Dallas' lap and looked him in the eyes. "Anything." Liberty responded softly with a small smile. "Do you want to go to Jake's New Year's party with me this weekend!?" Dallas asked. "Can I dad?" Liberty asked her dad as he came downstairs with his new gym bag on his shoulder. "Do what?" He asked putting on his athletic shoes. "Go to a New Years party with Dallas" Liberty said. "So you don't want to come to the annual fire station cookout?" Her dad asked. "Well I can stop buy the fire station to say hi the everyone before going to the party." Liberty suggested "Sure why not" Her dad shrugged. "Really?" She asked! "Yes, you have given me no reason not to trust you. I am giving you my permission to go." He replied. "Thanks dad!" She hopped off the sofa and gave her dad a hug.

*New Years*

It is the day before January the first.

Liberty's dad drove Liberty over to the fire station later that afternoon for there annual New Years grill and party!

"Hey Libbs!!" Wishbone said. Wishbone isn't really his name it's actually Michael but everyone at the fire station knows him as WishBone. On Michael's first day at the fire station all the guys bought him a cake which had a wishbone on it, well Michael snuck his way into the fridge and ate a piece before they even brought it out, so therefore...Wishbone!

"Wishbone!!" Liberty held out her arms wide and ran into Wishbone's large arms!

"You going to stay for the fireworks show!?" WishBone asked dipping a tortilla chip in the freshly made guacamole!

"No, I'm sorry. I made plans." Liberty said as her dad came up behind her and put his large hands on Liberty's small shoulders.

"Yeah with her boyfriend" Her dad said smiling and rolling his eyes at the same time! "Hey Wishbone!" He gave him a hug.

"Boyfriend? And how come I've never met him?" Wishbone asked

"I'm going to go and say hi to the rest of the guys!" Liberty said walking away in a scared manner.

"He's going to come and pick her up, he is a nice kid though or else they wouldn't be dating!" Liberty's dad tried whispering but failed.

"Should we do it?" Wishbone whispered.

"Of course, I need to be told that I made a good decision from my brothers!" Liberty's dad responded.

"Hey Liberty!!" The rest of the guys were busy in the fire station kitchen which was a funny sight that made Liberty giggle.

"What's so funny?" Patrick who was steaming some vegetables asked.

"Uhh, nothing!" Liberty chuckled. "Gregg are you wearing a apron with lipstick stains on them!?

"In my defense my wife bought this for me and well she would kill me if she knew I wasn't wearing it!" She said pointing to all their wives in the corner.

"Mmm sure!" Venny said "Hey Libbs where's your dad!?"

"Talking outside with Wishbone maybe planning a plan against my boyfriend." Liberty said.

"What? Boyfriend? And you didn't care to tell us!?" Frank said stopping what he was doing to look at Liberty.

"What's his name?" Mark asked?

"Where is he?" Lain asked.

"Okay yeah umm, I'm going to go over umm....over here!" Liberty said getting away from the guys and going over to there wives who were in the corner.

"Libby, it's been to long!" Amy , Venny's wife, said hugging Liberty.

"I know, I need to start coming over more often" Liberty said.

"Whoah your about to pop aren't you Diana?!" Liberty asked touching Diana's stomach! Diana is WishBone's wife and Mark's sister.

The women laughed. "Well I sure hope so, I'm ready to give birth." Diana replied.

"Oh looks like there is a young boy outside." Maria , Lian's wife, said as she looked out the window.

The firemen who were in the kitchen went rushing out to greet Dallas who was outside.

"That's my boyfriend." I said

"Ohh, he is cute!" Stacy, Marks wife said.

"I know right!" I smiled.

"We better go see this! It should be funny!" Maria said almost running out the door as we followed!!

"Dallas this is Venny, Wishbone, Mark, Lian, Gregg, Patrick and Frank." Liberty's dad introduced everyone to Dallas. "Well it is so nice to meet all of you!" Dallas said. "Now where is the meat it smells delicious!" The guys just gave Dallas a plain and boring expression. "Ooh I like him!!!" Wishbone said laughing! "Right this way!" Lian put his arm around Dallas' shoulders. Liberty walked over to her dad and put her arm around his waist! "I love you dad!" She spoke as they walked over to the table. "I love you too!" Her dad kissed Liberty's forehead.

After lunch Dallas and Liberty hung around the firestation for a bit. "You look phenominal by the way!" Dallas told Liberty. "Aww thank you! You don't look to bad yourself!" Liberty replied. "Shall we go get our party on!!?" Dallas asked. "Yeah!!"
