Dallas put on his sweater, his black jacket, jeans, and his clarks. He stepped into the cold December air after making sure his grandpa was okay. He walked the same snowy trail to make it to his grandpa's truck. He started the engine and rode off into town. After he cashed his grandpa's check and payed the bills he went to the grocery store. He had thirty-five dollars which some how was enough to buy the essentials.
Liberty woke up at noon with a strong appetite. She rolled out of bed and managed to walk to her bathroom with her eyes closed. She looked in the mirror and splashed cold water on her face to help wake her up. Then she brushed her teeth and blonde hair and went back into her bedroom. She put on some thick black tights, a think navy blue dress, a black sweater over her dress, and her black combat boots. She walked downstairs and opened her fridge door. She grabbed a yogurt and a cereal bar and grabbed her bag and left. She undid the chain on her bike and rode to a nearby flower shop.
"Good afternoon! Can I help you with something?" A worker asked. "I'm just looking for a flower, preferably a rose!" Liberty spoke. "Oh right this way!" The lady said directing her to the rose aisle. "Thank you!" Liberty said smiling to the lady as she left to help some other costumers. Liberty picked out a single beautiful red rose! "Would you like a ribbon on it?" The lady asked who was behind the counter. "Uhh yes!" Liberty responded. The lady quickly tied a nice small bow on the rose an Liberty walked putting her bag and the rose in her bike basket and riding off back home!

"Thank you so much again for doing this!" Dallas told Mrs. Adams. "It's no problem just go on and pick up your girlfriend I'm dying to meet her!" Mrs. Adams said working her magic in the kitchen. "Yeah go on and get Lucy!" Dallas' grandpa said rocking himself on his recliner. "Liberty grandpa, her name is Liberty!" Dallas laughed. "Who's Liberty?" Dallas' grandpa asked. Dallas face palmed himself. "Just go!!" Mrs. Adams laughed! Dallas grabbed his leather jacket and walked out into the coldness.
"You look incredible!" Dallas said as Liberty opened her door! "Ohh uhh...thank you!" Liberty said tying to hide her blush! "Ready to go!?" Dallas asked? "Yeah let me just get my phone!" Liberty said as she grabbed her phone and the red rose! "Aww you bought me a rose!! Your so sweet!" Dallas said. "No this is for your grandpa!!!" Liberty smiled as they walked to the truck. "Your still sweet!" Dallas said holding Liberty's hand as they rolled out of the driveway.
Liberty and Dallas walked hand in hand up to the small house. "So this is where you live" Liberty said looking around. "Yup..." Dallas responded showing no emotion. "Uhh, before we go inside there is something I need to tell you." Dallas said. "Sit down please." Liberty cleaned off some snow from the porch and sat down with Dallas next to her. "I know I should of told you sooner but I just...I couldn't find the words to tell you and I didn't want it to change things." Dallas said pausing. "What is it? Are you into drugs? Are you going to kidnap me?" Liberty asked talking really fast. "No, no, calm down it's nothing like that, it's just that my grandpa has Alzheimer's." Dallas said looking in Liberty's eyes for a reaction. "Oh Dallas, you should of just told me." Liberty said. "It's just that..." Dallas shuffled his jacket. "I guess I was a bit ashamed." Dallas said looking down at his feet. Liberty grabbed Dallas' face and rubbed his cheeks with her thumbs. "Dallas your grandpa having Alzheimer's is nothing to be ashamed of...now let's get inside... I'm dying to meet him!" Liberty said getting up and walking towards the door. Before she could reach the door Dallas grabbed her hand, spun her around, and kissed her passionately. "Thank you Liberty!" Dallas said breaking the kiss. "I uhh..." Liberty said still a bit shocked. "Ohh and please don't tell anyone about my grandpa." Dallas spoke. Liberty gave Dallas a dumbfounded look "Who am I gonna tell. Your the only person I talk to."
"C'mon let's get inside!" Dallas said putting his hand on the small of her back! Liberty walked in and saw Dallas' grandpa sitting in a rocking chair and Mrs. Adam's in the kitchen. "Grandpa this is Liberty." Dallas said "Liberty? That name sounds so familiar" His grandpa spoke quietly. Liberty smiled and looked at Dallas. "Don't listen to him he is crazy!" Dallas joked. "I may be crazy but I have ears" His grandpa replied. "I brought you a rose!" Liberty said smiling handing Dallas' grandpa the rose. "Thank you!! I like you!!!" He replied. "Yeah I do too!" Dallas said putting his arm around her waist. "Oh Liberty, this is Mrs. Adams, she is kindly cooking dinner for us tonight!!" Dallas introduced the both of them. "It's nice to meet you!" Liberty said shaking her hand. "It's so nice to meet you too! Ever since Dallas told me I have been dying to meet you!!" Mrs. Adams said making Liberty giggle. "Okay, before you embarrass me any more we're going to be in my room!" Dallas said.
Liberty looked around his room. It had boring beige walls with posters of car and sports on the walls. It was a small room compared to any average bedroom, but I guess it was okay for Dallas. "Your grandpa is so funny!" Liberty said looking at a picture on Dallas' bed side table of him and his grandpa on the beach. "Yeah well he isn't doing it on purpose!" Dallas said chilling on his bed.

"Thank you so much for cooking! Are you sure you don't want to stay and eat dinner with us?" Dallas told Mrs. Adams. "Yes everything looks delicious!" Liberty imputed. "Oh no problem! And as much as I would love to I can't" Mrs. Adams said giving everyone a hug before leaving. "She is lovely!" Liberty said. "Who is?" Dallas's grandpa asked digging in. The three of them had a nice dinner with lots of giggles. Liberty learned a bit more about Dallas' grandpa's disease.
"I had so much fun talking to your grandpa and listening to his crazy and wild stories!" Liberty told Dallas as they cuddled together on his bed. "Thank you for treating him well!" Dallas said playing with Liberty's hair. "Of course, he is just so adorable how couldn't I!" Liberty replied with her head on Dallas' chest. "Do you want to stay the night?" Dallas asked Liberty. "Uhh, I don't know. I've never stayed the night at someone's house." Liberty said. "but umm...yeah!" Liberty said smiling."You don't have to if you feel pressured." Dallas explained. "I don't mind driving you all the way back home....which if I need to remind you is fifteen minutes away." Dallas smirked. Liberty laughed! "Hahaha your so silly!" Dallas got up and grabbed a grey t' shirt and sweatpants for Liberty to change into. "You can change into this I'm going to go put my grandpa into bed." Dallas said walking out giving Liberty some privacy.
After Liberty got out of her dress and put on Dallas' clothes she went and stood by his grandpa's bedroom door watching Dallas tuck him into bed and planting a kiss on his forehead. "Your so cute!" Liberty said as Dallas quietly shut the door. "Whoah you look so hot in my clothes!" Dallas said running a hand through his hair. "They are a bit baggy but I guess I do pull them off!!" Liberty said. "I can sleep on the floor, you can take my bed." Dallas said grabbing a clean sheet out of his closet. "Oh come here!" Liberty said pulling Dallas in under the covers with her in his bed. "Your such a gentleman, I swear how did I get so lucky with you?" Liberty kissed his cheek. "Uhh no the question is how did I get so lucky with you!" Dallas said before leaning in and kissing her thin lips. "Uhh, whose going to get the lights!" Liberty asked. "Ughhhhh, but my bed is so warm!" Dallas said eventually getting up and turning off the lights. "Oh and I should probably tell you that I like to sleep naked!" Dallas warned Liberty as he took off his shirt. All Liberty could do was stare at his torso with the little bit of moon light coming through the window. "Oh well not tonight!" She smirked as Dallas got in the bed beside her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Good night Dallas!" Liberty said softly as she shut her eyes. "Good night Libby!" Dallas whispered.
