Liberty had gone over to Dallas' grandpa's house once again over the week and Liberty saw a different side of Dallas... "Grandpa, did you take your pills this morning?" Dallas asked his grandpa that day. "I'm tired of taking those pills, they have no affect on me." His grandpa said sounding a bit frustrated. "Grandpa just take them." Dallas replied. "No, I will not take them." He replied. "We are not discussing this now, you are going to take it whether you like it or not." Dallas replied. "I said no." His grandpa shot back. Dallas rubbed his temples and let out a frustrated sigh. "Listen they may not do anything but will you at least take it for me?" Liberty asked grabbing the pills and knelling next to Dallas' grandpa. "Okay." He replied. "Thank you!" Liberty said. "Wow he listens to you, thank you." Dallas told Liberty. "Hey it's okay!" Liberty gave Dallas a hug.

It was now Christmas morning and Liberty got out of bed with a burst of energy, like any other kid who celebrates Christmas. Her dad wasn't up yet so she found this as the perfect opportunity to cook him a nice breakfast! She tip toed into the kitchen and dug through the fridge. She grabbed some eggs, bacon, orange juice, and pancake mix. After cooking breakfast she set the table and as if that was her dad's cue he walked into the kitchen in his sweatpants and white t'shirt. "Merry Christmas sweetheart!" Her dad said giving her a hug and kissing her cheek. "It smells so good up in here!" Liberty smiled. "I cooked us some breakfast as one of your Christmas present!" Liberty responded. "Well let's dig in!" Her dad said pulling a chair out!

"Okay so who should open their presents first?" Liberty's dad asked as they sat on the floor around the lit up Christmas tree. "I want you to open yours first!" Liberty said grabbing the presents under the Christmas tree! "Okay open this one first!" Liberty handed him a bag with tissue paper sticking out of it! Liberty's dad opened the bag and read the card inside. 'I know that I always take your sweatshirts so here is a new one!' He reached into the bag and pulled out a new sweatshirt! "Thank you! I've been needing a new one! You want to take this one too!!" Her dad laughed. "Not yet, I want you to wear it out a bit!" Liberty joked! "Okay now open this one!" Liberty handed him a box. He took of the lid revealing a new basketball! "I wonder what that is for!" Liberty said trying to pretend she didn't know. Liberty's dad eyed Liberty with a confused face. "You know how you have been 'complaining' about not having anything to do in the fire station well...I also got you a basketball goal or hoop whatever it's called! It's at the station though!" Liberty said. "Thank you!!!" Her dad said giving her a hug! "Okay last one!" Liberty responded. "Another one?" He asked. "Yeah!" Liberty handed him a poorly wrapped present. "Sorry it's really badly wrapped!" Liberty said. Her dad laughed. "And that's why I always buy boxes!" He tore opened the wrapping paper and revealed a duffle bag. "You trying to tell me I need to work out!!?" Her dad said smiling. "Hahaha yes totally!" Liberty pulled her dad into a hug. "Thank you baby girl!" He kissed her cheek. "Your welcome daddy!" Liberty responded.

"Okay now your presents!" Her dad stacked three boxed in front of her and smiled! In the first box was a new sketch which she badly needed. In the second box was a large frame with a picture of the three of them; her father, mother, and her. "Thank you for this!" She whispered as a tear fell from her bottom eye lashes. "Your welcome..." Her dad said putting a hand on her knee. Liberty gave her dad a hug. "Okay now open the last box!" Her dad said. She opened the box and screamed out of joy. "Oh my gosh the new precision point three art pens! I've been looking for these everywhere!" Liberty leaped over to her dad and hugged him tightly "Thank you so much!!" He laughed. "Your welcome!"

"Okay I'm going to go over to Dallas' house." Liberty told her father. "Okay that's fine, I'm going to go to the fire station and hand with the boys." Her dad responded. "Okay take care!" She hugged him goodbye. She grabbed her bag and presents for put them in her basket on her bike. She wrapped her scare around her neck and rode off to Dallas' house.

"Look what I brought you!" Liberty said holding something behind her back. "It's a new rose!" Liberty smiled. "Thank you lily!" Dallas' grandpa said smelling the rose. "Haha your welcome!" I replied. "Hey at least he didn't call you April am I right!" Dallas' laughed at his own stupid joke! I brought the both of you a Christmas present!" Liberty said handing it over to Dallas. "Let's open it together grandpa" Dallas knelled down next to his grandpa and they teared the wrapping paper together! "Oh Liberty, how long did it take you to draw this. It's beautiful!" Dallas said looking at the painting Liberty painted. It was of the photo next to Dallas' bedside table of himself and his grandpa on the beach. "It didn't take long" Liberty said softly. "Thank you Liberty!" Dallas said giving her a hug and a kiss on her cheek. "Do you like it?" Liberty asked Dallas' grandpa. "Yes, this is me right! I look good!" Dallas' grandpa pointed to Dallas in the painting. "Yes you do!" Liberty laughed!

"I got you something too!" Dallas said going into his room with Liberty close behind him. "I know it's not a lot but it's something!" Dallas handed Liberty a small white box!" Liberty opened it slowly...it's a necklace that says Liberty on it. "Oh gosh, it's beautiful thank you so much Dallas!" Liberty hugged Dallas and pecked his lips. "Your welcome!" Dallas hugged her back. "Here try it on!" Dallas took the necklace and Liberty turned around grabbing her hair and tossing it over her shoulder. "It's perfect!" Liberty said hugging Dallas once more. "I'm glad you like it!" Dallas responded.

Liberty went home that with a smile on her face. She absolutely loved going over to Dallas' grandpa's house and she loved hanging out with the both of them!
