"Good morning Libby!" Dallas said as soon as he saw Liberty's face. "Morning Dallas!" Liberty smiled. "Dad I'm going to get lunch with Dallas." Liberty informed her dad. "Okay, I'll be at the gym." Her dad responded. "You uhh, you look nice!" Dallas said as they walked to the old truck. Liberty looked at her outfit which consisted of skinny jeans, white converse, a white sweater, an army green utility jacket. and a white beanie. "Thank you!" She smiled with a slight blush on her cheeks. Dallas giggled opening the door for Liberty. "What's so funny?" Liberty asked. Dallas ran to the other side of the truck and got it. "I don't know, your just so innocent and sweet!" Dallas looked at Liberty while he started the truck. "Thanks I guess." Liberty said sounding more like a question. "It's a good thing!" Dallas put his hand on Liberty's thigh but then moved it back onto the steering wheel as he drove down her driveway. Liberty got butterflies in her stomach and the world froze for a split second.
As they drove they saw the small town was all decorated with Christmas themed ordaments. "I love this cafe!" Dallas said as they both walked with there hands in there pockets. "I have never been here." Liberty said reading the sign of the small cafe. "Your going to love it!" Dallas said opening the door for Liberty as they entered the cafe. All of the workers in the cafe and the few people that were enjoying there lunch began to clap and chant 'kiss'. "What's going on?" Liberty asked blushing from all the attention. Dallas looked up and saw a mistletoe hanging from above them. "Uhhh.." Dallas pointed at the mistletoe. "Oh, I'm sorry to disappoint but we are just..." Liberty started to announce. Dallas grabbed Liberty by her waist and brought her closer to his body. "Dallas what are..." Liberty started. "Don't think!" Dallas said smiling before smashing his lips onto Liberty's. Liberty was shocked at first but kissed him back as everyone clapped and cheered.
"Your lips taste good!" Dallas said. "Let me guess, cherry lip balm!" Liberty shyly got into a booth next to a window so Dallas wouldn't see her blushing and tried to forget and not think about what had just happened. "Quite and entrance you two made!" A waitress said coming over to their table. "What would you two like to drink?" She took out a notepad. "Umm, do you serve hot chocolate?" Liberty asked softly. "Yes, of course!" She replied. Liberty nodded signaling that that's what she wants. "Make that two." Dallas spoke. "Okay!" The waitress said putting two menus on the table. "I'll be right back!" She scurried off into the kitchen. "So what do you recommend?" Liberty asked staring into her menu. "Anything under the sandwhich section!" Dallas said staring at Liberty as she tried to decide what she wanted. He smiled making his dimples sink into his cheeks. "Okay so two hot chocolates!" The waitress said coming back with their two drinks. Liberty looked up and saw Dallas staring at her, he gave her a smirk. "So what will it be?" The waitress asked with her pen and notepad in hand. "I will have a chicken sandwhich and a side of fries." Dallas said. "Okay!" She wrote something down. "And may I please have the.... oh the turkey sandwhich please!" Liberty said handing her menu to the waitress. "Okay give us a few minutes!" She said before walking off into the kitchen.
Dallas smiled at Liberty! "What!?" She couldn't help but laugh. "Oh nothing!" Dallas said drinking his hot beverage. He looked up and Liberty busted out laughing "What!?" Dallas asked. "Oh you know nothing!" Liberty mocked while still laughing. "So what are some of your hobbies?" Liberty asked trying to contain her laughter. "To be honest I don't think I have any, I mean I was really into baseball and chess when I was little but I grew out of that." Dallas responded. "Really? I've never played chess before. Is that sad?" Liberty responded. "Just a little!" Dallas showed how little with his thumb and index finger. "I'll teach you one day!" Dallas responded. The waitress came over and set the sandwhiches in front of them. "Thank you so much!" Dallas smiled at the waitress she laughed when she saw that he had a milk mustache. "Your welcome!" She laughed before walking away.
"Why is everyone laughing!?" Dallas questioned. "Oh come here!" Liberty grabbed her napkin and wipped the milk mustache off of his face. "Thanks!" Dallas responded. "You could of told me thought!" Liberty took a bite off her sandwhich. "Yeah but what fun would that be?" Liberty chewed her food. Dallas gave Liberty and 'annoyed' glare and through a fry at her face which landed on her sandwhich "Thank you, I'm eating this just so you know!" Liberty put the fry in her mouth. "So Dallas, can I come over to your house? I want to meet your parents who I'm sure struggle with you!" Liberty said taking another bite. Dallas nearly choked when he hear the words coming out of her mouth. "I uhh, I don't know." Dallas said quickly. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Dallas said changing the subject. "A painter." Liberty responded. "What about you?" Dallas sipped on his drink. "I've actually never thought about it." Dallas responded. "What really? Has any of your many friends ever asked you?" Liberty seemed shocked. "Nope, sometimes I question if they are real friends or why they talk to me." Dallas responded. "Seriously, but you talk to so many people." Liberty said. "I think you know more about me than all those people combined." Dallas responded staring at the beige wall behind Liberty. "Uhh, anyways do you like the food?" Dallas changed the subject. Liberty thought for a second. "Yeah, thank you so much for bring me!" Liberty gave Dallas a small smile. They ate their lunch and Dallas paid for it with his emergency card because he didn't have money in his wallet.
"Thank you so much again for lunch!" Liberty said. "I'll pay you back, maybe I can treat you to a homemade dinner sometime!" Dallas smiled shoving his hands deeper in his pocket as the cold wind blew. "You already did with that kiss." Liberty internally smiled but rolled her eyes because she wanted to forget it ever happened but she totally liked it. "Homemade dinner..." Liberty nodded with a slight blush in her cheeks. "Well I'll see you soon!" Dallas said hugging Liberty really quickly before walking over to his truck. "Bye Dallas, be safe." Liberty replied. "You two." He said before getting into his truck. "Really Dallas? You two? Gosh you need help." He talked to himself driving down her driveway.

Liberty was woken up by her phone ringing. She looked at her clock which read 2:43 a.m. She grabbed her phone and said 'hello' in her sleepy voice. "Liberty?" Dallas asked through the phone. "I'm sorry to wake you." Liberty sat up and rubbed her eyes. "It's fine, is everything all right?" Liberty talked into her phone. "Not really..." Dallas spoke softly. "What's wrong?" Liberty asked concerned turning on her bed side lamp. "I just uhh..." Dallas spoke. Liberty grabbed her jacket and walked outside and sat on her porch steps so her dad wouldn't wake up. "You just what?" Liberty asked looking at her neighbor's Christmas lights. "...I can't stop thinking about you." Dallas said. "Dallas." Liberty signed. "I just want to be there with you and hug you and have you in my arms. I want to hear everything that you have to say and see those cute faces that you do! I want to see your beautiful face and your gorgeous hazel green eyes. I want to cuddle with you and have random movie nights and dates. I want to remember all the little things that tick you off and that make you happy. I want to listen to you passionatly rant. I want your hand to be in mine. I want to kiss your soft lips and taste your lip balm, but more than anything I want to be able to proudly call you my girlfriend. So will you be my girlfriend?" Dallas asked smiling through the phone. "Oh Dallas..." Liberty began to cry. "I'm sorry Liberty, did I do something wrong?" Dallas asked. "No, it's just that you are so freaking adorable!!" Liberty smiled wipping away the tears that began to fall off her face. Dallas laughed. "I wish that I could be there with you to tell you yes, that I would be honored to be your girlfriend!" Liberty smiled. "I want to be there with you to kiss you and hug you" Dallas responded. Liberty walked back into her warm home and fell asleep talking to Dallas.
