// Listen to Against The Current cover of Uptown Funk. Seriously, it'll make this chapter so much better I promise!\\
What the hell was I doing?! I must've been crazy! I was probably going to embarrass myself in front of everyone there, but I didn't care.
I grabbed a shot and raised it to my lips, throwing my head back and downing it before I hopped on stage with Alex and his band, who were setting up their instruments.
"Remind me why I'm doing this again," I muttered to Alex, as he adjusted his microphone.
He just laughed and signalled the rest of his band to start the music after announcing to the crowd that we were singing 'Uptown Funk.'
The funny thing was, I didn't feel nervous, not at all. It must have been the alcohol. But I wasn't drunk... No way.. Ahaha
I grabbed the mic as the music began. It was.. Funky.
"This hit
That ice cold
Michelle pfeiffer
That white gold," I sang into the microphone. My voice was a little rusty but I really didn't give a shit.
I swayed my hips to the music as Alex and I sang, sometimes in harmony, sometimes solo. But we sounded brilliant, if I do say so myself.
My eyes landed on Harry and saw him staring at me. His brow was furrowed and his forehead was lined with an emotion I couldn't put my finger on.
Louisa was laughing and singing along like the rest of the crowd, despite Alex being her ex boyfriend.
I watched as she tried to grind against Harry, but he gave her no reaction. His gaze was fixated on me. I didn't know whether to feel flattered or angry. Mostly I was just confused.

I was rooted to the spot as I watched Clary rock her body to the music as she sang with that smug asshole who couldn't seem to be able to keep his hands off her.
Louisa's and my duet was cute I guess, if you liked that kind of thing. But watching Clary up there, her performance was bursting with energy and it was sexy as hell.
She looked hot (Hot damn). Way too hot. I could feel the crotch of my pants tightening as she swayed her hips.
She had a good voice. In fact, she sounded brilliant when she got into the song. But I could tell she was drunk. There was a wild look in her eye as she let that guy twirl her about and get all close to her.
My impatience was growing as Louisa kept grinding against me, obviously thinking that my growing erection was for her. She had been initiating that we got out of that cramped bar the whole night, but I just wasn't interested.
I slept with her once, but that was it. Get over me please.
To say that I felt bad about the things I said earlier to Clary, was a major understatement. I wish I could take them back, but what she told me seemed like too much to process at the time. It scared the shit outta me.
I had to admit that there was a part of my conscience that had always knew of course. I just didn't want to accept it.
And then of course when Gemma let it slip, well it was only a matter of time before hell broke loose.
Me, a dad? It just seemed so surreal. But I knew that there was a part inside me that had developed a soft spot for Ellie over the past few days, as well as a fondness for Clary.
I watched in fascination as she danced whilst singing with that dickhead. I couldn't explain what the emotion was that was bubbling inside me, making my thoughts clouded. But I knew it couldn't be jealousy. I didn't get jealous over a girl.
I watched as she ran her hands down her leather leggings, her curls bouncing as she moved to the beat. I so badly wanted to run my hands over her and hear her moan my name again. This infatuation with her was getting out of hand. I knew she had a fiancé and it was killing me.
The energetic crowd erupted into cheers of applause as they ended the song. It was good. Very good. But I didn't clap.
Instead I watched as the guy enveloped Clary into a bone crushing hug as they laughed together. I curled my my hands into fists at my sides as I tried to calm my angry breathing.
Then they broke apart, but their arms were still around each other, their faces inching closer and I knew what was going to happen.
I pulled away from Louisa's firm grasp and bolted into the stage, shoving that prick out of the way.
"Don't you dare touch her!" I yelled in his face as I went to swing a punch at his face, but he ducked skillfully.
"What's it to you mate? Eh?" He fired back, grabbing my arms, attempting to wrestle me to the ground.
"She's my girlfriend!" I blurted out, and the guys grip loosened.
I saw this as my opportunity to tackle him down as his back hit the wooden floor. We rolled around the platform, throwing hits at each other until we were torn apart by wide, burly men, preventing the fight.
I looked around wildly in search for Clary. But she was nowhere to be seen.
Fuck.
