Lee Felix is an ordinary 16 years old boy.
He attends a high school in Seoul and is a sophomore; he isn't that great at school. He doesn't have good grades - even thought he tries his best - and often gets in trouble for some dumb reasons.
Today, again, Felix got detention.
this time it was for using his phone during class, but he was just using the calculator! That's what Felix is claiming; but of course the teacher didn't believe him because it was an english class.
Felix thought that getting detention just for using his phone was insane; he didn't hurt anyone or broke something this time!
"I can't come today..." said Felix, over the phone with his friend.
"What? Why? What did you do now?" asked his best friend, Hyunjin, who of course was expecting that Felix got in trouble again.
"I was just using my phone in class, I didn't do anything bad this time!"
"felix, you are not supposed to use your phone in class, now we can't go out together again!"
"I'm sorry..."
"You should behave at school..."
"You sound like my mum," Felix giggled.
"Yeah, there's nothing funny, please be good, bye,"
Hyunjin closed the call before Felix could say anything; the latter sighed and started to walk toward the class where detention was held.
He walked into the room and noticed that the teacher still wasn't there, but there was another guy; he was sitting in the middle of the second row of desks so Felix sat right in front of him. The guy was resting his head on the desk so the freckled boy wasn't able to tell who he was.
The teacher suddenly entered the class, "Lee minho, get up, it's not the time to sleep now," so that is the Minho everybody at school keeps talking. He is pretty popular and everyone knows him, Felix was surprised that he did not recognize him at first.
"Sorry, ma'am," the guy replied, with a kind of mockery tone of voice.
Minho is like the cool popular bad boy; everybody knows him, everybody is scared to mess up with him.
The teacher told them to do their homework and don't talk in that hour of detention, but then she had to leave for some minutes.
"Ok, you two, I have to go now to do some work somewhere else, I'll come in a bit, behave while I'm gone,"
"Hey, hey! pretty boy, why are you here?" Felix heard the guy speak as soon as the teacher left. He turned to look at him, and he had a small smirk on his face.
"I? Uhm, I was using my phone in class, and you?"
"Ohh, you are boring, I got into a fight,"
"Oh.. and are you ok?" asked Felix noticing that part of the guy's face and eye were purple-ish and there was an ice pack on his desk.
"Mmm yeah, I am. The other guy, not really, I think I broke his nose..."
"And why would you fight with him?" Felix didn't want to sound too invasive, but he was talking to one of the most popular kids in school, he can't lose this opportunity!
"That jerk touched some girl's ass"
"Oh..?" Minho, beside being popular at school, was also known for being an asshole; he wasn't expecting him to beat someone in defence of somebody else, "And why isn't he here?"
"... He's at the hospital,"
"o-ow... wow," he must have broken his nose really bad.
"yeah, I probably broke his jaw as well... anyway! What's your name, pretty boy?" Here we go again; his smirk re-appeared on his face.
"I-I'm Felix,"
"hi Felix, I'm Minho! You aren't from here, right?" The younger of course already knew him, and was really surprised that he was still talking to him.
"I used to live in Australia, yeah.."
"cool-"
"Why are you talking? get back to do your homework, now!" the teacher said when she entered the classroom again.
Their detention soon ended and they could get home.
They walked together for a bit, since their houses are near to each other.
Felix found out the older boy wasn't that bad how everyone kept saying; he was actually nice and funny. He hoped that they will talk again, even though he doubted it; Minho was too popular to talk to some kids like Felix.
