Chapter 1

The Ice Angels

Michelle's point of view

I am a member of this ice hockey team called The Ice Angels. I have a cut over my left eye brow, a second piercing in my right ear, I walk with a mixture of laziness, and 'I don't want to be here' but I promise I'm not lazy. Our ages range 15 to 17 years of age. Today, the girls and I of this team got in opportunity to join the mighty ducks, here in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

  All of us Angels had our weekly sleepover to make it easier for us to get to the MD tryout today. We all slept in the living room together, as we all got ready to go.

We all got our stuff and went to the car. Our parents were already up so they knew where we all were going. Aliyah and Meghan got in the front seats with Meghan driving while we all got situated in the car Meghan then started to drive to the rink.

About fifteen or so minutes later we pull up to the place where the tryouts was taking place. "I'm so nervous, what if I fart in front of the coach while we're trying out for the team" Mikayla tells us looking really nervous as we got out of the car. Aliyah, Briana and I started laughing at her, while the others was still getting their stuff from the car. "Girl, you literally gave a public speech for the mayor once" I tell her.
"Yeah,but I spent the whole morning vomiting my guts out because I was so nervous."
"Hey"Aliyah says to Mikayla while putting her hand on her shoulder.
"You got this alright" Mikayla nodded her head. "Okay let's go y'all" Aliyah says while walking away towards the entry of the rink.
"Come on Mikayla you won't feel nervous no more if you just get through it." I tell her as we both start walking along with the others.

"Yeah, but that don't make the nerves go away."
"Girl come on" I tell her as I laughed slightly. All of us walked into the hockey rink.

"Oh my gosh,look at this place." Briana exclaimed in excitement.
"I know right this place is big." I say looking around in awe.
"This place is probably bigger then our whole house" Mikayla says to us while her big brown eyes looking everywhere like a little kid in a candy store. We all started laughing at her. "So cute" Aliyah exclaimed.

"Hey girls!" The girls started looking around to where the voice is coming from.
"Over here!"
The girls looked in the direction the voice is coming from.
"Come down here!"

The girls looked at each other in disbelief, they immediately ran down towards the rink. They all made it towards the rink and literally held their breathe because right in front of them was...

Coach Bombay!!!

The girls and I couldn't believe it. We're actually trying out to be apart of the mighty ducks. Is this a dream?

"Oh my gosh, I may just pass out" Briana exclaims.
"I'm about to go down right along with you girl" Mikayla says agreeing with Briana.
"Man, at this point I'm already on the ground." Lauren says. Making me laugh out loud. I quickly cover my mouth in embarrassment.

Coach Bombay laughs at us, oh great we made a fool out of ourselves and we just got here.

"Welcome Ice Angels, I'm Coach Bombay, and welcome to the mighty ducks ice hockey rink."

"Thank you Coach Bombay it's a pleasure to be here" I said to him while sticking my hand out to shake. He shook my hand, then the other girls stuck their hands out to shake Bombay's hand. He laughed slightly and shook their hands too.
"Oh my gosh" we all heard Briana whispered to Mikayla. "I know, girl"

Bombay clapped his hands, "So you seven girls are here to try out for the ducks today but let me tell you this it will be tough, no short cuts or special treatments you will be treated just like the other ducks, got it?" We nodded our heads/

"Okay, go get suited up"

He tells us and walks away.

"Yeah Coach!" I yell out to him he turns around.
"We don't know where the locker room is!" I tell him. He turns and signals for us to follow him and we do. We get to the suited up.
