-in Naruto's mindscape-
"Well, I wasn't expecting company in here any time soon." Said Kurama. Naruto had just been sealed away by the hokage, and now sits in the same cage Kurama was sealed in years ago. Although Naruto wasn't a seal master yet, only a level 5 out of 10, even he could see this seal was much more unstable than the eight trigrams seal Minato used.
Naruto didn't say anything, and just sat there, thinking about what just happened. He began muttering things that Kurama couldn't here. Even though Naruto's back was to him, Kurama could see that Naruto was crying, so he tried wrapping one of his tails around him to comfort him.
Naruto seeing Kurama's tail, pushed it away, then got to his feet and turned to Kurama with an angry expression. "Why didn't you give me more chakra?!" He asked In a demanding tone, hatred filling his voice.
"I gave you the maximum amount of chakra without killing you, trust me, I wanted to save her just as much as you. But I made a promise to your father that I'd protect you, and I did." Kurama answered.
"I don't care if I die! This life is meaningless without her!" Naruto yelled as tears started falling from his face. "She's dead. She's dead because of me."
"It wasn't your faul-"
"IT WAS MY FAULT!" Naruto shouted, interrupting Kurama. "I wanted to go out! I wanted to see if the village has changed yet! SHE IS DEAD BECAUSE OF ME!" He said falling to his knees.
After a couple minutes of uncomfortable silence, Kurama spoke. "What are you going to do now?"
Naruto looked up at him with a cold expression on his face. "I'm going to train in here until this seal brakes, I don't care how long it takes. Your going to be the one training me, too. Since I can't train my physical body in here, I'll just train my ninjutsu, genjutsu, and my new eyes."
"I'll train you to the best of my ability." Kurama said.
"I only hope that my yin half can keep my body in shape." Naruto said.
-outside world-
"Jiji?" A tired Naruto said.
"I'm here Naruto." The hokage reassured.
"What happened? Did the villagers find me again?" Naruto asked.
"Again? How many times has something like this happened?" The hokage asked.
"A bunch, I don't even know why they do this either. Do you? I need to know, please!" Naruto pleaded with no luck.
The hokage, wanting to keep yang Naruto sealed away for as long as possible, lied. "I'm sorry Naruto, but I don't know why, I didn't even know that this was common for you."
"It's OK, I'll find out, and when I do, I'll become the hokage to gain all of their respect, believe it!" Naruto yelled with a smile on his face.
The hokage smiled and ruffled Naruto's hair, making the blond giggle. "For now, you just need to complete the academy and become a genin first. I believe in you, you'll become a great hokage someday." He said, making Naruto smile widely.
-a few minutes later, in the hokage's office-
The hokage finally made it to his office after a stressful day today. He was about to start fighting his eternal enemy: paperwork, when suddenly, an ANBU agent came down. "Hokage-sama, the council requests your presence."
