Fuu stood outside the burning house that was once Naruto's. She was shocked to say the least, she was sure that Naruto was careful enough to not let this happen. Naruto had already busted through the door and ran through the house looking for Yui.
A crowd had gathered around the burning building, including Shibuki. "Fuu, what happened to the house?!" Shibuki yelled. "I have no idea! Me and Naruto were walking out of a building across town and he saw smoke from this direction. Neither of us know when it started. Do you kno-"
She was interupted when all of the fire in and around the house was completely extinguished instantly. A small shockwave erupted from the house, knocking people back a few meters. Fuu stood still, hearing nothing coming from the burnt house.
She snapped out of her stunned state and ran inside and upstairs to try and find her new boyfriend. She froze when she found him on his knees outside of Yui's room.
He appeared unconscious, with his head leaned back mouth slightly open and eyes completely white, as if rolled back. She ran to him, and started asking him questions to try and find what's wrong, getting no answer from him. She got her got her answers when she looked in Yui's room.
Or rather, at the small charred arm poking out of some rubble in the middle of the room.
-outside-
Shibuki was trying to keep control of the crowd who wanted to go in and potentially save the inhabitants inside. The commotion finally stopped when an ear-piercing scream from inside echoed across the village, followed by crying.
People started assuming the worst had happened. They know exactly who lived in this house after all, even if the two tried not to draw to much attention to themselves.
Shinobi ran in despite what Shibuki was doing and grabbed the unconscious Naruto as well as Fuu, who was beside herself. Some of them saw what had shocked the two jinchuriki, and almost puked, while some others did.
When Fuu was outside, she hugged Shibuki for some kind of comfort. It didn't work, and she cried on his shoulder for a few minutes as Naruto was taken to a hospital.
-the next morning-
Naruto slowly opened his eyes to a white ceiling. 'Am I finally dead?' He asked himself mentally. "No, you're in a hospital." He heard Kurama in his mind say. He looked around the room and saw Fuu sitting in a chair while resting her head on the bed. She held his hand as she slept. He noticed the area of the blanket around her eyes were wet. 'She cried herself to sleep.' He thought.
He looked back up to the ceiling and just began staring at it. For the first time in his life, he didn't know what to do anymore. Nothing he thought of could make it better. He knew of the reanimation jutsu that Orochimaru used back at the chunin exams, but he didn't know how to do it because he wasn't there to copy it in time. Other than that, he didn't know of anything else that could potentialy bring her back.
"Kit...I...I'm so sorry." Kurama said, he also didn't know what to do. Naruto didn't respond.
He squeezed Fuu's hand slightly, and she started to wake up. She wiped the drool coming from her mouth off and looked at Naruto, who was still staring at the ceiling with no emotion showing. She practically jumped on him when she went in for a hug.
She kept telling him she was so sorry for what happened. "If only I hadn't dragged you out of the house to begin with." She said in between sobs. Naruto looked at her sternly.
"Don't think like that, it isn't and never was your fault. Hell, it isn't even mine. You don't need to be sorry for this." He said in a tired, but cold voice. Fuu didn't let go of her hug, but she did start crying a little less.
