10 - Monster vs Monster

Team 7 was on there way to where the first part of the chunin exams where taking place. About two weeks passed since Naruto first talked with Garra, and since then they have been training nonstop, with Sasuke with his sharingan, Naruto with taijutsu, and Sakura with medical ninjutsu. They have done a few more missions, including some more C-ranks They entered the building and went the second floor to see another konoha team being blocked from entering a room.

"Wasn't the exam taking place on the third floor? We only went up two floors." Sakura whispered to her teammates. "Yeah, I think they're trying to fool others, smart plan by them to be honest. They even put a genjutsu on the floor number. Come on, let's get to the third floor." Naruto whispered back as they left.

One of the members of the team that was at the door looked back to see team 7 leaving. 'So they're smarter than they look. I'll have to keep an eye on them.' He thought to himself.

When team 7 entered the real exam room, they were bombarded with a large amount of KI from everyone in an attempt to make them turn back. However, due to them taking Zabuza's amount of KI, this was nothing. Especially to Sakura, who felt the full wrath of whatever was on the bridge that day.

The team ignored the KI and looks they were getting and joined the other konoha shinobi in the corner. "Hey, you guys made it, surprised you didn't fall for the trap like those other idiots downstairs." Kiba said as he saw his friends join them. "Says the one who did fall for it and needed my help to realize it was a trap." The usually quiet shino said, making Kiba embarrassed.

The doors opened once more to reveal the Ino-Shika-Cho trio. When Ino saw Sasuke was already there, she immediately ran up and hugged him from behind, while calling his name. Sakura noticed that Sasuke was starting to get agitated at the blonde, so she tried to get her off of her teammate. "Get off him Ino, he doesn't want to deal with you right now." She said in a calm voice that surprised Ino. 'Wasn't she all for him, too? What happened to her?' Ino thought before getting off him and confronting Sakura. "Your just jealous that I did that instead of you, aren't you?" Ino said.

While she still liked him, her drive to become a medical nin actually surpassed her crush in importance to her. She still wanted to be with him, but she respects that he doesn't want that, so she holds back and keeps her distance to let him train harder, which he appreciated. "It's not that, I just want you to stop bothering him. We're not kids anymore, so stop acting like one." Sakura said. To say that Ino, hell, everyone was shocked, was an understatement. Ino was at a loss for words, so she backed away from Sasuke and went to talk with her long-time friends.

Naruto left the group a while ago to sit against the wall to meditate, he would need all the focus he could get in order to pass these exams. "Would you mind quieting down a little bit, everyone's trying to focus here and you're disrupting them." A boy with Grey hair and glasses said while walking up to the large group.

"And just who are you?" Kiba asked. "Oh, I'm Yakushi Kabuto, listen, just be quieter, these exams aren't easy, and everyone's trying to focus." He answered.

"How do you know, have you been here before?" Kiba asked. "Actually, this is my seventh time taking them." He said, rubbing the back of his neck embarrassingly.

'Seven times, he should've been able to pass at least one of those times. Something seems off about him.' Naruto thought while eavesdropping on the conversation. By now the team that was downstairs entered the room and sat near the konoha group, also probably eavesdropping. "Listen, I'm probably not allowed to do this, but do you guys want some info on any other players?" Kabuto asked. The genin got confused to how he was going to do this, so Kabuto elaborated. "I can give you info about anyone in here if you want it. I have a deck of cards that show the info of anyone that I or want." He said while taking out a deck of cards.
