16 - A Brother's Love

-4 months later, in fire country-

A figure stood outside of a large burning underground base. The figure sheathed his sword as three more figures appeared behind him, one female and two males. "It's time. Let's go." The figure in front said.

"This time, I'll kill you...Itachi."

They were exiting a small town when two members of the akatsuki, Deidera and Tobi challenged Sasuke to a fight. After Deidera died with his C-0 explosion, Itachi had sent a clone to tell him where he was.

It didn't take long after that to find him, as one of the members who was with him, wanted the sword carried by Itachi's partner, Kisame, and with the help of the female of the group, who was a really good senser, they found Kisame guarding a building he claimed Itachi was in. Sasuke had told the three to stay back and let him fight alone.

Sasuke entered the building, and found that his brother was calmy sitting in a large chair. They talked and had a genjutsu battle against each other, with Itachi even showing him Madara taking his brother's eyes. Itachi explained that he will take Sasuke's eyes for himself. Sasuke, however, didn't get phased by this and the two started fighting, eventually taking the fight outside. Due to them both using multiple fire-style jutsus, clouds and smoke started filling the sky, and Sasuke took advantage of it. He prepared a jutsu that he had been working on for a while, and he was confident that it could hit his brother, even with his susano'o active.

He covered his left hand in lightning chakra and raised it in the air. A dragon made of lightning formed in the clouds they created and Itachi looked worryingly at it.

"Drop with the heavenly lightning, disappear with the roaring thunder...kirin"

Sasuke said before dropping his hand, making the dragon fall with it. The dragon created a huge explosion that took out the entire compound they were on.

Sasuke got up on his almost numb legs, he couldn't see his brother anywhere, he could finally relax. He took a deep breath, but before he could exhale, an area in front of him exploded. He looked at the center and saw Itachi still alive, with his susano'o activating again. Itachi began limping to his brother. Sasuke tried to run, but his legs wouldnt move, he leaned on a stone structure behind him and waited for the inevitable.

As Itachi got closer and closer, Sasuke started fearing for his life, with it flashing before his eyes. His heartbeat ringing in his ears, and his entire body shaking. Before he knew it, Itachi was already in front of him, with his hand out, ready to take his brothers eyes, and replace his dull, bleeding eyes.

Sasuke expected his eyes to get gouged out, but instead, felt two fingers on his forehead. He opened his eyes to see a smiling Itachi.

"No matter what you decide from now on...I will love you forever...you don't have to forgive me, Sasuke."

Is what Sasuke heard before the susano'o dissapeared and his brothers' fingers dropped from his head as he fell forward. He hit his head against the wall, and fell to the ground, dying with a smile on his face.

Sasuke stood there, frozen about what he heard. He fell forward on his face, tired from the battle, and just wanting to rest now.

While Sasuke was passed out, a plant-like creature coming from the ground moved towards him. "That was some fight, I didn't expect him to die like that." The creature said in a deep voice. He was about to pick him up and leave when he heard another voice.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." The creature looked up to the voice and saw a figure sitting on the wall. He couldn't make out his features, but he had back-length, blonde spiky hair, a headband he couldn't make out, and a mask similar to that of Hatake Kakashi's. His eyes were shadowed, so it looked as if his face was completely black. The rest of his clothing was also dark, with a black haori with blue flames at the bottom, a dark blue shirt and pants, and black boots.
