13 - Happy Birthday!

"Alright brat, tomorrow, I'm gonna teach you something new. So get some sleep, it's a big day tomorrow." Jiraiya said to Naruto, who was struggling to keep his eyes open. They had left konoha about a year ago, and right now, they were in the land of stone because mountains make great targets.

Although Jiraiya had been with Naruto non-stop for the last year, not a day went by when he regretted 'that day'. He didn't like thinking about it, but it never left his mind. And not a day went by when he fears when 'that' Naruto will make his appearance again in the world.

"Alright pervy-sage, good night. Tomorrow, I'll see why my chakra control became so bad." Naruto said. He'd been having trouble gathering chakra and morphing it into the jutsu he wanted, for example his rasengan always exploded when he tried to make it, Jiraiya had no idea why either. Or so he claims anyway. He had a feeling that Yang-Naruto was somehow messing with him.

Naruto entered his room in the house they were staying at temporarily out in the middle of the woods. Naruto sat on the edge of his bed, holding his head in his hands. He'd been having a headache the entire week, but it seems much worse right now then ever before. He tried to stand up, but his legs felt weak, so he fell to his knees. He yelled out in pain as his eyes started burning, tears started falling, but each tear burned his eyes even more.

His eyes started glowing red as he also felt something shatter into pieces inside of his mind. The pain in his eyes started to die down as three black marks appeared in his eyes, the three marks started morphing into a different pattern and then stopped. A few moments later, there was a rippling effect that made his eyes into a light silver color with multiple circles surrounding his pupils.

When his eyes finished transforming, a large shockwave spread outwards, destroying his room. Jiraiya, who heard the screaming tried to enter the room, but found that a large amount of KI stopped his movement. He slowly made his way to the door and pushed it, making it fall from its hinges. He looked in the room and found Naruto sitting on his knees, with his hair shadowing his eyes. 'Maybe I'm not too late.' Jiraiya thought as he prepared to repair the seal.

Jiraiya stood up, but as soon as he did, he felt a very sharp pain in his stomach. He didn't get to see what hit him, as he was sent flying out of the house and through multiple trees in the forest. Jiraiya didn't know how to stop himself, but luckily, he did stop. Abruptly. He was about to get up and race back to the house, until he felt something on the top of his head, it felt like a hand holding him down.

"Don't move." A familiar voice said from behind him.

"N-naruto. How did the seal brake?" Jiraiya asked. The seal was supposed to last a little longer, it would have been strong enough for a few more kyuubi outbursts.

"I don't know, but I suspect it has something to do with my eyes changing again." Naruto said, surprising Jiraiya.

'But he already had the mangekyou. What more does he need?' Jiraiya questioned. He felt the hand on his head let up, but he still couldn't move. "Don't bother, I put a restriction seal on you, you can't move now." Naruto said.

Naruto walked in front of Jiraiya and sat down in front of him, facing him. Jiraiya could now see what he's talking about now, his eyes are different. "Those eyes. How come you have the rinnagan?" Jiraiya asked.

"Don't know, but I'm sure Kurama knows, I'll ask him later. For now though, I have a grudge to settle." Naruto said as he got up and walked to his former sensei. "I know you didn't put this seal on me, but I want to show you what I had to got through. And unfortunately for you, you can't come out temporarily like I did." He said as performed the jutsu that sealed him away all those years ago.
