"Man, these just keep getting easier, huh?" Kiba said as they entered the village they called a base for the 5th time. They had just gotten back from gaining another village on their side.
Many people agreed with Kiba, but Shikamaru and Sasuke were thinking at the same time about the same thing: 'why was that so easy?' It was like there were much less people guarding that village than usual. Mei alone could've taken that village on herself, and win.
Both boys separated from the group and made their way to the center area to discuss a plan. "So how was it, did you win? That seemed a lot faster than the others." Mei pointed out. "Yes, we won, but for some reason, the number of enemies was smaller than usual. We think something's going on." Sasuke said.
"Interesting. Ao, send a message to our spies in the remaining villages, tell them to tell us if the enemy troops are leaving their village." She ordered and Ao left to do just that. "All right, if this if true, then we might have to skip the rest of the villages and go right for Kiri." Mei said.
"But what if Yagura wants us to do that?" Shikamaru said. "Explain." "Yagura may be young, but he's still a kage with multiple elders backing him up. It's safe to assume that they want us to storm their village in order to trap us in. We can still storm the village, but let's send some troops to the smaller villages to make them think we're still taking those as a threat. While they are taking over that village, they would likely be notified that they are losing that village, and they'll let their guard down, that's when we attack." He finished.
"And what if he sees through that?" Mei asked. "Well, then we're just gonna have to wing it." "All right, then it's settled, in 2 days, we'll take two villages, both at night and both at the same time, are we clear?" Mei said. "HAI!" The group around the table yelled.
The rest of the Konoha 11 had stayed together and sat down in the DFAC area. Sasuke and Shika entered the room and made their way to their group. They explained the plan and most of them left to relax and/or train.
The next day, Mei had gotten word from her spies that the enemy forces of their villages were leaving to go to either Kiri, or a smaller, but still quite large village just northeast of it. The village was called Kurosaki village, a decently sized village that was once used as a samurai training village, now as a village to aid in war efforts, like this one.
Their suspicions were right.
Everyone participating in the war packed the supplies they needed and headed out to the stake-out points, where they waited for their signals to attack.
Because Kurosaki village had a large number of ninja, half of the konoha team, Kiba, Shikamaru, Tenten, Rock Lee, Choji, and many rebel ninja went to that village to free it and stop a potential flank from them.
Sasuke led his part of the team and aided Mei in leading the entire army attacking Kiri.
They were ready. To fight, and to win.
"It's midnight, the bravo team started attacking their village. I'm gonna go scout for entry points, wait here until I give the signal. Trust me, you'll know it when you see it." Sasuke said to Mei before jumping into the trees.
Alpha team is posted 8 miles away from Kiri so they won't be spotted, and thanks to Sasuke's great speed, he crossed it like it was nothing. But one thing did make him stop.
"It's an old war bunker." He said to himself. He walked up to it and saw that the building was about to fall apart, rust was everywhere on the metal, wood was chipped away and barely standing and he didn't even want to know what the inside looked like. The building was small, so he assumed it went underground. How far it went? He didn't know, it was probably collapsed anyway.
