The next day we went to the mall to buy and prepare stuffs of our own needs and for survival. Like what Millan have said last night, we need something to defend ourselves, so agad kaming namimili ng mga ito.

I also heard that there will be a lockdown and a power outage later tonight dahilan na rin ng kumakalat na virus ngayon, kaya lahat ata ng tao ay nagmamadaling bumili ng mga kailangan nila.

"Hoy beh! ilang flashlights ba binibili mo at halos limang minuto ka na riyan?" I jumped a little at Mavis voice from behind na kala mo magkalayo kami ng pwesto.

"I'm just checking out these locks" I told her at and she gave me an unsure look before going back to check her list.

I've been picking some door locks that would be useful sa hideout namin. I saw a bunch with different key passage but baka sa isang sipa lang ni Collin or Millan ay sira rin agad ito kaya wag na lang.

I chose the ones with big keys kasi sabi nila mas matibay daw ito kumpara sa maliliit na padlocks.

After buying the lights, candles and locks, I walked to where my friends are in every section and I stopped when I saw Collin taking a big chain rope, tazers and a metal baseball bat.

Natawa ako sa isip ko dahil sa aming magkakaibigan si Collin ang pinaka-matapang at walang takot pagdating sa ganitong bagay. Walang inuurungan ito because she perceive herself as a strong woman who doesn't need a lending hand in difficult situations.

Meanwhile Mavis is her opposite, kaya rin siguro madalas magkasundo ang dalawa dahil sobrang duwag o matatakutin si Mavis sa ganito but, there are also times that she never let her fears devour her because it is the only thing that would get herself killed.

I couldn't see Sage and Grazer but I think they are at the food or supply section already when I left my spot. Thank God, Millan is quick-witted. If not, maybe we're left to just die in a senseless state or even starve to death kung hindi niya naisipan na kakailangan din namin ng pagkain at gamit.

I mean, the rest of us are not that dumb. Kahit sino naman maiisip ang paraan na yun for us to survive but since few of us are just simply occupied, hindi agad namin naisip ito nor it didn't sink right in at the moment.

I went to where Millan is and I saw her taking an emergency kit and medical kit na meron naman sa hideout since I've been storing few of my stuffs there just in case of emergency.

Millan just never forgets her mantra 'an everyday needs doesn't last forever, so it's better to take as much as you can while you're at it' kaya ito hindi mabubuhay ng wala ang safety rules and needs niya.

That is one of the things I admire about her, she never loses her faith in everything. She put others first before herself and when people are in need of help, she is literally one call away and would always be there at their aid.

"What are you doing with that axe?" I took a step back when Millan tried swinging the axe at her side.

She was smirking at her ability to swing such an axe with a size of a wooden cane. I laughed at her antics and since she was enjoying it, I let her be hanggang sa natapos ito sa axe show niya.

"I think this would be useful so I'm taking it" I heard her say as we left the section of tools.

Collin and Millan are quite the same when it comes to combat. They aren't as big as you think they are but both of them are skilled, and can handle a fight alone. There's a chance that one of them can survive on their own if they won't also rely on the weapons all the time.
